Genuinely no bias what is your top 5 at masters? Seems like a stacked tournament that honestly anyone can win imo, but need other opinions cuz i only watch americas and like 3 emea games
AstroGalaxy [#3]from top to bottom
G2
VIT
Sen
EDG
DRX
T1
Trace
TL
Is there Sen bias because of flair or is this an unbiased take?
Yistyy [#4]this is one of the most stacked tournaments we've seen, genuinely any team could win it.
agreed. super excited to watch all the games, unfortunately gonna have to watch vods though lol
Vaaero [#5]Is there Sen bias because of flair or is this an unbiased take?
i think sen is actually top 3 since I think g2 is top 1
Vaaero [#5]Is there Sen bias because of flair or is this an unbiased take?
i could be bias for me but i fr also think sen is top 3 at the tournament. Kaplan and Gunter are grinders and will stay awake for 48 hours straight if it means having a good anti strat to win
AstroGalaxy [#7]i think sen is actually top 3 since I think g2 is top 1
Liquid also went to 5 maps against vitality. Why are they last when Sen, who went 5 maps but lost, is third?

yistyy have u changed? why so positive now

I've retired from baiting. It's a young mans game, and I couldn't keep up anymore.
VIT or G2 seem to be most people's favorites, but I think SEN and DRX have a good shot each. EDG getting underrated because of recency bias, and T1 hasn't played amazing but could turn up. I think it's unlikely TE or TL win based on how stacked the tournament is, but both teams could win if they come in really good form.
In a tournament like this, it's less so about which team is better, but rather about which teams are in better form. VIT/G2/SEN all seem locked in right now to the point I feel like it's unlikely any of them don't play well. I do think a lot comes down to how well EDG and T1 play because that could really shake things up, but DRX seems like the next pick.
If I had to bet on a winner, I'd actually go SEN because they have only been getting better and Narrate hasn't really popped off yet. My dark horse would be T1 simply because they have insane players and if they can figure out some stuff, they could be dangerous.
GambleNats [#16]Power ranking :
1.) G2

I think #5 is supposed to be T1 :)
I like both your lists!
Wolfed [#17]I think #5 is supposed to be T1 :)

T1 could absolutely be #5 or even higher if they clean up some of their maps and all their indiviudals are on form.
In fact I think every team has a somewhat decent chance to win it all if the right conditions are met, bangkok is competitive asf
sidenote I just realised, but no, i meant to put te at 5 LOL

I mean there's a difference between getting reverse swept and having a very close game, plus the VIT players even said that TL was getting very lucky on the first three maps, which just goes to show because they destroyed them on the last 3.
foythvlr [#21]any true vct heads would know its Impossible to have seem all the games because emea overlapped a lot with americas on later stages
I watched the games split screened live and then rewatched the VODS later

The only thing close about the SEN vs G2 game is the order of who won the map, the map themselves were not close at all. The two grandfinals from americas and emea are very similar, Liquid also were not lucky in the first three maps (they got demolished third map) Liquid just had better prep on the first two maps with very strong anti but on lotus onwards it was clear that they no longer had that second layer of what they should do, instead just relying on what they usually do. I do not believe this is a fair argument against liquid/for sentinels. Overall I do agree sentinels is the stronger team, I just disagree with your argument of "reverse sweep vs close game"
GambleNats [#26]I watched the games split screened live and then rewatched the VODS later
so you know liquid is winning it all
G2/VIT
-----------
EDG (SEN is either here or alone in mini tier below)

DRX
Could see any of those teams winning the event
Then TL/TE both have had pretty impressive moments, but have a sample size issue which makes them feel unreliable to believe in them.
T1 a slight step down from that imo cause they've been pretty uninspiring outside of the GF against DRX, but they have talent so could still step up.
Dcoo99 [#6]agreed. super excited to watch all the games, unfortunately gonna have to watch vods though lol
yeah these match times are brutal for us haha
I've watched all the regional games, and I'm telling you—ranking these 8 teams is impossible. This is the kind of event where literally any team can win, and I wouldn’t be surprised.
If you’ve watched VCT China, you know Trace is on par with EDG, maybe even better on certain maps. T1 hasn’t even hit their peak yet—we didn’t really see Meteor doing his thing. It’s all gonna come down to how these teams have antied each other. And trust me, when it comes to anti-strats, Trace is the team to watch out for. If they have enough time and enough VODs, they can literally beat any team (not exaggerating).
SEN is also one of the few teams that can adapt to anti-stratting pretty easily because they’ve got the quality of players to make it work. That being said, both Pacific teams look a little weaker compared to the other six, but that’s just based on Kickoff. T1 has so much international experience and drx has so much potential so no point counting them out.
I don’t agree with the people saying G2 and VIT are favorites. This is the most open tournament we’ve had, and legit, any team can take it.

also liquid had a really great gameplan for the first 2 maps not just luck
