I get they don't want the same few agents playing 24/7 but these teams were preparing for kickoffs during off-season for quite a long time and it feels like releasing a really strong agent would probably ruin a lot of stratbooks and unique comps, what do you think? I think it'll be fun to watch but I can believe some teams, especially coaching staff are pissed

A meta breaker. And in allmost every single meta breaker, some dude will abuse of this meta, win every single shit, be nerfed til the ground, lose and stoping picking him.

If you was talking about this, isn't about being fair, its about teams picking a player to do the "Chamber" function, and only this function except X map.
Essencialy, abusing the meta until being nerfed, like that cow image.
This kinda ruins Val ideia (for me at least), that is multiple playstyles and diferent ways at the same maps, metas like this forces allmost every single comp to be allmost equal.

Learning the agent is probably a small part.
You have to revise your strategy again, coordinate with your team, test those strategy, and repeat the process if they are not good enough.
All this needs to be done in less than 2 weeks btw.

That misses the whole problem. Yes there are teams that are better at making new strats for/against meta shifts, but I doubt anyone (who isnt just a braindead fan looking for an excuse to cope) would actually complain about innovation being rewarded.
The concern is that it has the potential to invalidate work teams have already done. Creating an even playing field on some (importantly not all!) maps this close to the start of the season is plain uncompetitive, since its now based on luck if the maps you spent most time on need to be overhauled.
Obviously gonna depend on how strong he is in pro play if its an actual issue/a major issue, but still weird af for riot to do this... again.
Good point actually, didn't think about that. I guess it would suck if (purely for example) you spent a massive amount of time on Bind, and your Bind is really really good, but then this guy comes out and he's just insanely good on Bind and counters everything you've been doing and your offseason is now a waste of time
if a team spends the offseason just perfecting one comp and not working on systems, calling, synergy, etc then they're just relying on the same thing other teams are lol
ANY team who thinks metas won't change and is trying to dominate 2025 with 2024 strats deserves to lose, yall implying luck is disingenuous
its not like anyone was surprised by the new agent either??? Like why would you not spend the offseason working on things that you know won't change lol, then spend the weeks after announcement specializing your map pool and comps for the new meta, extremely poor coaching decision from any team that relies on metas being stagnant in a game thats defined by meta shifts (chamber, astra, harbor)
Ngl teams that play tejo are probably losing kickoff he is not that good of an agent and nobody will know how to play him this shit is ridiculously overblown but I do think it is shit that he is even allowed for kickoff but then there isn't a time to allow him until like stage 1 and that's just too long
there will be a few teams who experiment, id imagine KC with engh and saadhak rush out leaders of the new meta and people will call the first masters mickey mouse because they're just better coaches/igls out there
but its possible the new agent just isnt game breaking, either way the only thing this does is increase the skill cap of the coaching staff around the league
