I personally don't think that current Neon is better than prime Chamber
People tend to forget how dominant and irreplaceable he was as a sentinel. You pretty much didn't need Cypher or KJ if you had a good Chamber player on your team
Neon is more replaceable and you can replace her with Raze and Jett in most maps. However, she is a must pick in some maps

IMO i wouldnt compare them using their replaceability. it's true that chamber was a very prominent pick
chamber was good because he had a fail-safe function and you had to use utility to sniff him out. but these positions could still be technically held by other agents like raze or jett, so it's not as if these were completely new positions to the game.
neon has been given a mechanic that hasn't been given to any agent previously unless you count jett knives maybe but even then that's an ultimate ability, while neon can use twice and up to four times in a single round. so i'd say she's better than prime chamber in that sense. but her new ability will become more saturated as time passes

She is really good in Lotus, Fracture, Haven, Sunset. But half of those maps are out of the pool
She is decently viable/replaceable in the rest

Nah bro, no agent was able to reposition like Chamber could
His rotation capacity was insane too (only matched by Yoru TP, but he was the worst agent by far when the Chamber meta was around)
You could leave any area on the map open and still have your trip up (it was even more broken when it was two trips)

People just never play against good neons because playing neon requires skill (unlike chamber where u shoot and tp), which is why people are underestimating how overpowered she is. That's why many pros are frustuated because they are playing against worlds best neons.
Personally only the slide accuracy is just way too overpowered , rest all is fine. Only reason many people underestimate is your enemy neon isnt that good enough to abuse it and punish you.

for Chamber he had a low floor and high ceiling, so pretty much anyone could play him but only a few could play him at the top level.
Overall I think Chamber was still more OP but if you're talking about the top players then I think yeah Neon is probably more OP

I don't think Neon is as oppressive, but there's a layer of bullshit to her playstyle that make her incredibly unfun to play against. That layer is the sliding accuracy.
Having high accuracy while you're 1. in motion (sliding), 2. going very fast (sliding speed), and 3. having a harder to hit hitbox (slide makes the character model smaller to hit) is just really stupid. Imagine if raze had full accuracy while blast-packing, or Jett being able to shoot her gun mid-dash (which if we think about it, Neon slide is the same except slower and less forgiving).
Chamber's pre-nerf kit was probably the most oppressive kit in the game's history (at least IMO), so current Neon doesn't come close. Neon just tilts me more because of that layer of bullshit where I get headtapped from a Neon in mid-slide. It feels like it should be RNG but no, it's the intended part of the kit. It's just not fun and I hope she gets that part of her kit (and only that part of her kit) nerfed soon.

She is good, but requires a lot of skill to master.
She also isn't clearly better than her alternatives, has a clear weakness/counters that can exploit her, doesn't fill multiple roles on a team, and isn't viable on every map and needs a team comp built around her.
All those things were true about prime chamber (although I don't think he was actually as good as people make him out to be)
