Ok so im a bit confused here,

VCT Partnered academy teams can compete in Challengers but aren’t eligible for Ascension. So, if they somehow manage to win their regional split and qualify for Ascension, do they get replaced by the runner-up, or can a non-partnered team pick up their player to represent (g2 case)?

The first case, runner up goes to ascension

Wow, that sucks for the players, I guess. I get that the whole point of affiliate teams is so both teams can switch players during the season. But even if that happens, they’ll probably only pick 1-2 players.

the whole point of the academy is that you have an actual work place and a guarantee that the team will not fold after one bad year

Affiliate teams are different from Academies tho. Affiliate teams can compete in Ascension

I'm not sure what BCF technically qualifies as, if it's just an affiliate team they can yeah, but I would be really weird that they adopted the BBL name if they're not an academy

ye they count as affiliate
they're pushing the lines with the name change but Riot and BBL staff confirmed that theyre only an affiliate team and that its allowed in the current ruleset

They are indeed pushing the line with the name I could see an argument for conflict of interest if they did Ascend. But if it is Riot approved then sure

They will never compete in VCT with that roster

The reason being?

The reason being?

The reason being PCFC is not big enough to retain Loita Comeback or Larok next year regardless if they ascend or not. Look at Apeks and they're 10 times bigger

You mean other teams would buy them out so they would have to look for other players?
