Also geng didn't fluke a win, they were consistent throughout the year. I can guarantee you edg will go back being a team that gets eliminated at group stages

How are we still calling this a fluke? They did better because they got a new coach, new support player, and new IGL. They didn't have these while they were struggling earlier in the year.

Kang Kang, Smoggy, and Chichoo have always been cracked. It's the other things around them that needed to improve.

Yeah if you pay attention to their games, you can clearly tell that they’ve made steady improvements and knew how to actually play slower paced instead of a prx type playstyle. Their game sense in general has improved massively and nobody did a great job at this event. I mean there’s a reason roster locks are only a thing when champs starts

sorted out role issues and just gradual small issues and actually learning how to pay the game unli;ke lock in them where their defense was guessing and attacks were league of legends team fights. not to mention all of them are aim demons

i dont think you know much about the team then. ill explain it. theres always been a problem with haodong smoggy chichoo nobody and kangkang where smoggy whos strength is in entry is forced to play flex mainly initiators due to haodong playing smokes. when edg changed and brought in s1mon and bench haodong this got fixed. as smoggy can play smokes whcih is not duelist level entry but still pretty good at making space. s1mon also is a great initiator. guarantee it all u want edg beat a foot a peperrex a red hot trace and red hot sen statpas and co and choke city. blame ur team for being generational chokers not edg cuz at least they improved and were better on the day. even with double map ban th probably wouldve lost cuz you'd have banned the same maps of ascent and pissbox

and reminder the only reason they fell off in 2023 was because term0 had the brilliant idea of moving the best korean duelist to sentinel for a mid tier duelist, making a six man roster and fucking over all their chances (when they stopped the fuckery for 1 month they almost beat prime fnc)
