Take the slots away from SA, Vietnam and HK/TW
Create a separate event for these minor regions. Winner gets single slot to ascension.
This will actually save the game. These regions had 4 years to develop a proper market and they failed. Now it's time to focus on regions that have successfully developed a market, and take it to the next level.

If NA would have more slot or SAmer or SAmer would have less slot them maybe it's another NA team that would have won the even.
Biostar [#46]Does anyone know what the Riot rules are for HK/TW? It's a bit contradictory to be able to participate in VCT CN and still qualify as a Pacific local resident. They have very few opportunities in the Pacific, but 10 out of 58 Tier 1 VCT CN players are from HK/TW.
HKTW is a part of APAC, but player from HKTW have double residency (APAC and CN), meaning a full TW team with a TW structure could just join the CN circuit if they want to (And it's probably so mush more worth it with the fusion)
