There are a few achievements I am proud of, but what I am most proud of is my progress in school. I have always worked hard and tried to get my best grade. I have done pretty well in school and am trying to prepare for college. I try to develop better study habits and work efficiently. After I moved and my parents split, I began to adjust to whole new life. Even with all the distractions in life I try to keep my mind clear and focus on my long term goals.

W awareness bro. The fact that you can recognize the distractions and the hardships and know what to do is a big achievement in itself. I hope everything works out for you :)

People don't understand how hard it is to separate from your family especially if you're not American. I feel like in Europe family ties are stronger and it's a lot more normal to live with your parents until however old you want. This was one of the hardest things for me. Such a big accomplishment. Good job dude.

I'm actually Colombian-American lol, but from the Colombian side, yes absolutely. My parents were half-hoping that I'd stay living with them in the city they're in, but I've always wanted to fly the nest so they can hopefully retire and return to Colombia soon without ever needing to worry about me. I think they'll actually do that once my sister graduates too in a couple of years.

In Colombian culture it's very normal and common for at least one sibling to live with their parents their entire lives, as a dependent and then as the caretaker. My grandma has been living with my aunt since well before I was even born. Before my grandpa (other side) passed away he was living with an uncle. That being said, since I'm very Americanized and they're not, it's probably easier on everyone that my parents go live peacefully in Colombia and either visit me in the US often or vice-versa, so having the financial freedom was very important for me.

Thanks for the kind words <3

I completely get that dude. I'm Turkish-American and moved here a decade and some change ago. I got my own place recently and I'm pretty sure my mom will eventually move back to Turkey similar to your parents moving back to Colombia. I can't imagine a life like that but life happens. I'm proud of you for flying the nest.

Probably the improvements I've made to my artistic style, especially in the previous previous month or two. Particularly happy because I had a nasty art block for like 6 months for part of last and this year.

Art is just something I've never been good at. Even in elementary, middle and high school. I got a consistent C in every art class. I think its super impressive for anyone to be good at it lol. Glad you were able to bounce past the block.

Brother are you not human? Are you not allowed to make mistakes? Those mistakes are progress. They're only mistakes if you don't learn from them. Not every year will be the best but I hope the second half of the year is better for you.

Oof this one hits deep for me. I feel like I've been such a slave to nostalgia. Constantly thinking about the past when the present is slipping right by me. I still struggle with this but I'd like to think I'm doing better. Thanks for sharing cloudberry.

in the UK, medical school is just general and after 5 or 6 years, you can choose what to specialise in. so its 6 years till i actually choose what i want to do.
