do you think those teams were better than the top teams from today?

Idk about OPTC but prolly the same with Loud, but Loud would be dominating everything if they were still here. so still a legendary rivalry likely

best team from before will always be worse than the best team right now, it's common sense, every sport is going forwards, not backwards

idk about that

if you pick Loud players they only got better with time

Comparison of one year to another year lack objective comparison (except for stats). That's why you mostly compare teams based on the year they played in. loud and optic >>>>>>>>>>>>> Gen.G/Sen in 2024 in terms of how far away from other teams in that year they were ( the gap from them to like top 5 was huge), but when it comes to skill, newer teams would just smack them around

I think this logic only tracks under the assumption that the game remains static.

However, the meta keeps changing so teams usually only ever get reps in their current meta. there's no reason why a team today would try scrimming with a chamber era comp, for example.

With that said, OpTic would probably still be a better team than LEV, SEN, EDG, and TH if they were to play on an older patch where chamber wasn't nerfed, since they have more reps playing on it, whereas OpTic would be worse on the newest patch

Even if OPTIC made franchising they wouldnt do as good as the best teams in 2023 if chamber is nerfed
LOUD 2022 would do pretty good but without Tuyz it would be hard for them to utilize the harbour/viper meta

this, I don’t think Optic would honestly be good if all players were in there current form, but team chemistry does go long ways

Loud would probably still be good

FNS couldve active yay and make him like a duelist like demon1 (System player with high ceiling)
Instead we got C9 yay.

they had that in 2021, but all 5 of them fell off post 2022 so i was talking current form,

I can agree with that but Loud wouldn't have struggled without Harbor, that's because they made that meta and NRG also ended up running it, even if they stayed together I am confident Saadhak or pANcada would have learned him to be able to play Harbor on maps like Pearl and Icebox.

Optic would do good, if nrg with ardiis could get top 4 in tokyo, what made you think that with yay and marved they wouldn’t get atleast top 3 in tokyo and champions?

ardiis clears yay in every possible way. yay became useless the second chamber got nerfed.

you are basing this off nothing lmfaoaoao
ardis had the same agent pool as yayster
they would have done the same with yay like they did with ardiss
except yay would already have the same chemistry with them
so arguably they would have done much better

Loud 2022 still has the most stacked roster of all time

Less - Undisputed Senti GOAT
Aspas - Undisputed Duelist GOAT
Sacy - GOAT candidate for Init
Saadhak - GOAT candidate for IGL
Pancada - GOAT Candidate for Controller

pancada in 2022 was the goat controller cant lie

Yay>aspas (aspas was good but yay was just better)
Sacy>crashies
Saadhak= fns( fns better mind, saadhak best aim)
Marved> pancasa
Cant compare less with victor

Both teams were at the same level, loud won because they could close both overtimes.

Its crazy because as a player chronicle has so much more mechanically, but sacy value outside the server is arguably better

Sacy value inside the server is better too, just doesn't show as much in the stat sheet. The fade seize on the final round vs fnatic won them the round and game, but is not gonna show up on the ACS or Rating.

Sacy - Champion + Masters winner, all time most clutch player, monster on Sova, Skye, and Gekko
Pancada - Best performer on a Champions winning team as a controller

sacy was good in 2022, horrible in 2023, and mid this year. dont know how that qualifies as "goat"

pancada peaked in champs and fell off since

If both their form held up they would both be insane
LOUD was insanely good with a worse smokes player/slightly better initator +Aspas improved massivly from 22. Only problem is that they wouldnt run Harbor/Viper but they could easily run other comps. Would def See saadhak on viper/senti, less viper/senti, pancada smoke, sacy iniator, aspas duelist

OPTIC would be a better NRG, Yay would continue to be the best ITW and Victor/Yay would prob switch of sentinel/duelist depending on map while FNS on viper and Marved on smokes-crashies on initator. Only problem is same as LOUD no harbor player so no harbor/viper.

I am 100% confident Loud would be able to play harbor being either Pancada or Saadhak, they also made the harbor viper meta so IDK if it would even be a thing without them.

Loud definitely
Optic is a bit 50/50, i can see them struggling against EDG

loud would most likely dominate, optic is like 60/40, considering if nrg 2023 were still able to qual to tournies i think optic would've placed higher honestly

Well gameplay wise every team will outperform the previous years teams, hell even from past couple months mainly because people are much more improved and make less mistakes because over time the gameplay is more refined. So a team from 2024 will be much ahead of a team from 2022. If u put a team from 2024 vs a team from 2022 somehow via time travel. The 2024 team will win mainly cause they are just ahead in terms of strats and such.

I get that but. A lot of teams continues to make the same past mistakes, like PRX.
And some playstyles are too hard to copy/supass.
For example, until 2024, no other team had the ability to copy the Loud 2022 defensive playstyle.
G2 is able now, but in a different way.

Being from 2024 doesnt mean you wouldnt do the 2022 mistakes or overcome the 2022 teams, just means that you have a way to learn about it.

Stil, if you put 2022 Loud, the retakes plus team work plus aim would still get at least a top 3 VCT Americas.

nah thats a stretch. Prx make the same mistakes but they still play A lot better than they did in the past. Some teams are bad sure. I was mainly tryna say that a squad from 2022 wouldn't be able to be at the top of the league, like top 5 maybe. Yea 2022 loud could probably get wins over the mid range teams since loud was extremely good. But the top teams now-a-days play faster and with quicker adjustments. The only thing is if u give loud like a couple months of prep time, then with that 2022 roster they could easily become a top team for sure. But if u immediately put 2022 vs 2024 teams it would not go well for 2022 because remember 2024 teams have good ideas about loud since they have seen them before but 2022 loud wouldn't know what the 2024 teams would throw at them.

Aspas was the worst player in Loud 2022 (in champs). This shows how scary that team was.

Loud 2022 would be top 3 every year if they stayed together. Such a shame that only saadhak and less are remaining

At least pANcada's back (although signing him instead of a duelist player kind of ruined the rest of LOUD's year, but that's not on him... I digress)

crazy thing is

Loud 2023 is considered weaker than Loud 2022 and yet Loud 2023 almost beat EG and smoked Fnatic(the best team of the year) 2x on champs

Loud 2022 was absurd, just look at what Sacy is doing now and Aspas 2022 is worse than Aspas 2023/24

I think it would. Optic I don't know since they were heavy on Chamber meta, but Loud would still be great. They're the only old team whose all players are still some the best of the world.
