They need to fix the fact that teams can be eliminated from everything this early. I understand they need to reward consistency and the points slot should be kept, but qualifying the top 2 instead of 3 at playoffs and have a LCQ would have been a much better format. This format doesn’t allow teams to improve

having no LCQ and using champs points gives teams a reason to actually try harder in the regular season and shows every single match matters. pointless to even try in the regular season if you can go 0-10 and still have a shot at champs lol.

And sure that philosophy is cool and all but this format basically means if you have 1 bad month of April in the first split you’re basically done for the entire year

not entirely true. sen is only ahead by so much because they got 3 from kick off and 3 from winning madrid,

it be very close if they didn't win madrid with Sen, Lev and 100T all at 9 and G2 @ 8 and Kru @ 6. its keeping champs competitive and not letting some team make a linsanity run @ LCQ and then making one team just get curbstomped by the rest.

I think a good LCQ could be structured as a triple elim bracket
1-4 --> Winner Bracker
5-8 --> Looser bracket
9-12 --> LCQ bracket

With that system we keep LCQ, but we dont need more weeks

LCQ matches were always the best +I think having more teams in champs next year would be good bc there’s gonna be 12 teams in the each league so 3 from playoffs + 1 from champs points + 1 from LCQ would be nice

de los ultimos 3 mundiales solo 1 equipo clasificado por el lcq paso de la fase de grupos
El LCQ solo es un espacio para enviar equipos a dar pena. si se llegara a hacer un lcq lo unico factible que veo es un lcq entre los tops 5 y 6 de cada region con solo 2 clasificados
pero el sistema actual de puntos es perfecto tal como esta

Claro porque son el seed 4, que esperas cuantos seed 3 lo hacen bien tambien? Según esa lógica vamos a enviar 2 equipos por region y acabamos antes

LCQ was in July last year so teams aren’t really being eliminated any earlier than before, maybe just by a couple weeks. The bigger issue is still the fact that champs is in August, but Leo said it will be in October for 2025 so that should make the schedule better.

If they are that bad yes, you made horrible off season adjustments or and you shouldn't make champs,
as I said in my post below though the Valorant season is just wayyy too short so I understand why it sucks for some teams. maybe next years format with 12 teams will be better. Longer season and maybe more games? idk

Personally as a viewer LCQ is super fun, but overall I think it is a bad format. the Idea of a team barely missing playoffs and then MIBR having a crazy LCQ and making Champs sucks, you should have to be at least consistently decent all year to have a chance at making champs.

I think the Valorant season is wayyyyyyyy too short though, crazy we are almost already at the final tournament of the year, and the off season being 6 months long is so dreadful, I personally don't know how to fix it but I think something needs to change. obviously most likely Riot just doesn't want to spend more money on a longer season.

Expanding playoffs to 8 teams could've helped alleviate the issue, 6 team playoff makes it almost unobtainable for a team that had a disastrous split 1.

if playoffs for split two was an 8 team playoff bracket instead of 6 then the teams who did bad in split 1 could stil make playoffs that would probably fix the problem

I was about to disagree with you and say all the teams that have already been eliminated aren't good enough anyways but with how fast valorant changes I'm not sure if that's correct. Fur could be crazy good. EG made it to Japan in a similar fashion last year.
