Is overrated, I don’t think he’s bad but he isn’t some one in a million IGL that sentinels couldn’t live without. I could easily see other top IGLs joining sentinels and then still being able to win tournaments

He played against the most overrated EU Team (fnatic) 2 times and in both games he struggled hard. All Maps was close af. Im calling fnatic overrated because they ain't one of the Top 5 EU Teams right now. Everyone is replaceable! the thing is if you say Shahzam could be replaced without making the Team worse, they will tell you Sentinels won so much with Shahzam but the thing is people forget these fights could be much easier and much more comfortable if they would make some critical changes. Sen is a Team that almost never lose but they also struggle to much for being the best Team in the World right now. To be serious, i don't even think hes seriously IGLing. The Sen Players are all mature enough to do things how its supposed to be without someone telling them dont do that or that.

i think shahzam has very good prep for every game but i feel sen are a team of 5 very intelligent players so his in game leadership(igl) isnt that crazy its just the synergy of the team that makes this team the best in the world and not individual calls
as daps said this game requires 5 intelligent and synergetic players to excel and thats why sen are on top

obviously not a godlike tactician like gla1ve in csgo but he is a good fragging igl, I wouldnt say overrated cuz no1 who actually knows what he is talking about (unlike most vlr who are hard stuck silver players who dont even understand what they are watching) thinks of him as this tactically insane igl, pretty much like sentinels, they dont have any impressive strats or weird comps, they play simple comps, have strong yet simple strats, play off each other really well and just play the game

I think other than the stuff that he already does as an igl/coach/analyst is huge, but don't forget how quickly they adapted when Tyson was added to the roaster. Let's not forget how they must've felt when those articles and stuff came out of sinatraa and his accusations and then suddenly needed someone. Imo it wasn't easy to accept this but they had to keep going no matter what. Also people keep forgetting that when TenZ got added Shahz had to play sova on most of the maps (he wasn't good, but we can see the improvement) and he sacrificed his loved jett role so that his team can succeed.
Also TenZ was like a diamond that was sharp but not shining enough. Shahz made sure he felt at home and he worked with him until he could shine to his max potential.

Exactly. Everyone ignores his contributions as a mentor, coach and analyst of the team. So when someone says that Sen can't live without Shahz, he is actually considering all the roles that Shahzam is currently performing, and not just the IGL Shahzam.
