Aside from that, this argument is annoying because people holds team success over individual performances. However, MaKo without the burden of being igl is better

Mako has seen the rise and fall of pAncada, Marved, Jawg/Demon1 and he is still there being a top controller.
not to mention that fact that the best teams of last year have all gotten worse due to a massive shift in the meta. This thing always comes down to long term consistency, so i agree, it’s always best to just wait and see.

Threads like this are always full of recency bias bullshit. If we're talking 2024 than Karon clears Mako for sure. But Mako has been a top controller for a LONG time. I don't know how you could compare a player with a career as long as Mako who has been at so many internationals to a player that's in his first year and has only been to two.
