Only thing missing was a single ounce of competitive integrity, had everything else tho.
LOUD vs Optic >>>>
But yh, I agree... it was a good start to franchising system aswell, everyone got introduced to all the teams + it was even better for us brazilians
NA fans hate lock in cos their teams performed poorly in it but the reality is it was the peak of valorant esports
I liked the idea of it, all the Teams duking it out and shit
Would be interesting to see the same format be the Champions format every year, make it a month long tournament with 4 Teams fighting every day, 2 matches ongoing at the same time
If Riot didn't make lock in 1 of 3 international lans of the season, then hell yeah it was lit.

Hella facts, yet my favorite team didn’t win so it was Mickey Mouse…. Also I like how the first two points are so valid for Madrid Playoffs yet no one talks about them when roasting Madrid

can you elaborate on that i dont understand
Personally my fav tournament of all time, so much hype with all the new rosters, so many banger games, amazing final, prime fns vs prime saadhak matchup crowd was really fun even with them being biased, better than being quiet and boring

why are you downvoting him? he's right. single elim is dogshit. everything else was epic tho (crowd, storyline, final etc.)
definitely not, but it was one of the most iconic valorant tournaments ever, so many moments
5 - Majority of pacific teams flew 30+ hours flights. South America is geographically challenge to travel.
if lock in is the greatest tournament ever, then acend is the greatest champs winner ever

They can downvote it but they can't hide the truth we all know. No qualifiers + single elim + completely undeveloped meta (mf's were playing sova on lotus). Will never count as a major.

But It counts as a fucking great tournament
Never ever again we've seen a tournament with such high stakes and plot Twists
Even If you didn't count as a major, it counts as the best event ever

It was great to watch I agree, the Loud vs NRG fracture was probably the best map ever.
No, most of the teams were ass because it was the beginning of both franchising and the season. Not to mention starting the season off with a single elimination tournament where you could end up playing one game, and then going home. It was a fun way to kick off franchising, but holy hell it's a terrible way to measure how good teams are.
The highs were really high, but there were a lot of fucking lows that no one remembers
the only think I like about lock in
that was fnatic tweet against SEN
that was so brutual

every team played in the same circumstances, whether you enjoyed it or not you can't take away from the victors by saying it doesn't count

Yo lemme make it clear if it wasn't already (most of the world already understands this): It doesn't count.

good thing riot makes the decision and not Yuh_aye on vlr
Loud vs NRG lock/in is my favorite match of valorant, so imo yes lock/in was the best event. The stax waving after beat c9 was insane lmao.
NRG vs LOUD was pinaccle of Valorant
FNATIC clear both in 5v10 easily

That TuyZ clutch was something to be remembered in history of Valorant forever

I wonder why it wasn't called Master's Sao Paolo or Champs Sao Paulo???? Maybe Siigma777 can enlighten me why it's the only one not like that in the history of the game

champs 22 exists
instead of kickoff and a mickey masters we should have a hybrid regional/lan event. For example in the regional rounds you will go from 12 to 6 teams regionally, then just have a smaller lock//in single elim on lan
