I created a VCT simulation software that can simulate whole tournaments. It's a long ongoing project so some of you might already seen it. But feel free to try it and give me some feedback.

Here is the ranking for Americas after 100 tournament simulations:

nah scratch that a LOT of stats are wrong, aspas being the same rating as TenZ is crazyyy but its still fun
they arent rated the same lol. TenZ is 85 and aspas is 87

by all means that needs to be fixed up fast because those ratings aren't convincing anyone whatsoever. For starters, shit like DFM's initiator having the same rating as Ethan is wrong on all accounts.

It’s mainly due to the level of play too. Like Ethan’s stats my be similar to DFM’s but they also played at completely different levels.

Muchas gracias mano, el website esta genial y muy entretenido. Pero si quita un poco la credibilidad cuando aspas y demon1 tienen un rating de 87 y 88 respectivamente, y de repente un man random de un equipo de tabla baja de apac tiene 91. Hay que tener en cuenta en que competiciones consiguieron esas stats. Por ejemplo, tener 20 kills por mapa en tier 2 es mucho mas facil que lograr esas stats en una Masters o Champions por ejemplo.

In vlr they only had 4 players when I did this, but look like they have 5 now, I'll fix it

juni [#28]Sorry guys, I'll work on the ratings, the ratings are based on stats so some regions/tiers might be less competitive than others.
not only that but its overall better to consider stats in the past year or two only, bringing up stats from 2020-2021 into account rn is pretty crazy and its why TenZ has a very close rating to aspas when that shouldn't happen

this, I don't think using TenZ 2021 stats as a metric for his current rating compared to other players is accurate. In 2021 TenZ was clearly above 99% of pro players, this is not the case anymore. Same with yay as well, his OpTic stats with chamber don't show a clear picture of his performance as a player today.

Back to working!
The next update would be to improve the rating system. Right now the rating system uses stats from the whole player's career as that can be an issue because of different levels across tiers/time/regions.
The next rating system will prioritize recent years, and tier 1 VCT experience. Stats outside the recent year and outside tier 1 will have a lower influence on the player ratings. Let me know what you guys think.

Not if u have only sim'd 1-2 matches out of a bo3, it would only allow me to go back to the main screen again, it ruined my progress on tournaments tons of times

I feel like everyone will be satisfied and understand the rating as long as it isn't outrageous. I get it's very hard to put a player's skill into a number, but it doesn't make sense for players like C0M and Ethan to be rated 69 and 71 respectively, while Jemkin on Rex Regum Qeon has a rating of 91
