Oscar "Mixwell" Cañellas announced his retirement from professional play earlier today.
A veteran within the FPS scene, Mixwell's esports career dates all the way back to 2012, where he began building his reputation in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as an AWPer. The then-prodigy quickly climbed into the upper echelons of the competitive scene and donned the jersey of many prominent organizations.
After a fruitful nine years among the best of the best, Mixwell transitioned over to Valorant and signed with

as the scene slowly began to solidify itself. Mixwell and the rest of G2 took the EMEA scene by storm as they won event after event in 2020. Although they were unable to match the previous year's results, the roster kept up with the rest of the top teams in 2021.
