we read and write it the same way, but we just have a greater english influence or a blend of sort in our french when it is spoken. it is the same language tho. and honestly it is not that bad, you are exaggerating a bit much.

Yea it's a joke. Damn it's so hard to understand when people talk quebecois though especially, because of a lot of the different phonemes used. At least the written form is practically just french with just some english words.

- also because I already know a lot about european romanic languages so I want to learn something a bit more oriental, that's slightly closer to home because of its influence on Spanish.
