RRQ got a juicy cash infusion from Riot as an official partnered team. But instead of signing new talent, they've been basically hording the money and contracting unheard of Filipino players for a low cost despite there being a lot of quality and already proven Indonesian players available (after all RRQ is the only Indonesian org representing Indonesia). Riot got mad and said they were unhappy about some of the partnered orgs' decisions, so as a result, RRQ have had to get their acts together and have signed fl1pzjder as a result.

Pretty good I think, but very unnecessary. Blizzard should have just focused on Overwatch and it's competitive scene rather than completely casting it aside and causing it to die just to build a new version of the game for no reason whatsoever.

Korea has less than 52 million in population, and most of them are on the older side since Korea has the worlds lowest fertility rate with long life expectancy's masking the low fertility rate problem. Western Europe has a population of almost 200 million. Not only do sources (like the one archetype linked below) show EUW has a much larger playerbase, common sense can be used to draw reasonable conclusions.
