He plays for Vision Strikers now...? so...

that doesn't answer why you made it seem like they weren't already contenders

I'm not saying Nuturn did a phenomenal performance or anything, but they did do considerably better than the Brazilian teams which is why I asked this question.

good point

Should one of Brazil's allocated spots be given to Korea so we can potentially see teams like Damwon Kia and Vision Strikers? (so BR 1 slot and Kr 2 slots)

um not sure what you mean by that

Just because there was one iconic case of cheating from India doesn't mean you hold it out against that region as a whole. It's like saying someone in your city is a mass murderer so everyone in that city including you is automatically considered a potential murderer.

Lol, best of luck fellow American on your future endeavours.

wdym those are the only 2 options. Team Liquid, Fnatic, Nuturn...?

The bracket made a lot of sense to me. The regions with dual representatives, the second seed team had to play one more match than the first seed teams which is very logical.

Yep, NA fanboys just keep switching teams. As soon as the team they're rooting for (in this case V1) are eliminated, they all immediately flock over to the other NA team still remaining. They just root for the team that is winning rather than thoroughly supporting one team.

How was it luck of brackets? On the contrary they had a difficult bracket as they faced "major regions" (those with 2 slots) beating teams from Brazil and NA.

posted about 3 years ago

Nobody did it as much as V1 who would literally stand up every round they won and bm.

How do you even get stars? By getting upfrags? (and if so, is there a way we can check progress towards how close you are to a star)

Lol cringy fanboy alert, let me remind you again that V1 LOST to a "minor region". Also after every round they won, the V1 players would stand up and wave to the other team and rub it in,, and the fact that they lost was satisfying as heck despite me being from NA.

V1 overrated. Every time they won a round they would stand up and wave to the other team and make a big deal about it and try to rub it in. After gloating so much, the fact that they lost to a "minor region" was extremely satisfying.

GG fellow American cheering for V1. Best of luck with your team in the lower bracket and hopefully they make it to the finals.

If every region is trash how did V1 lose to Nuturn.

posted about 3 years ago

They didn't throw, Nuturn just adapted really well after their first map loss and feeling out the playstyle of V1. (similar to when they faced Sharks. NU got steamrolled on map 1 but adapt their strategies to counter their opponents in the next 2 maps)

posted about 3 years ago

NU does well to adapt to the other teams' playstyles and counter them rather than the other team somehow becoming worse. This game for example, NU got steamrolled in map 1, but after feeling out V1's playstyle, they came back to contest 2 really close maps. Same with the game against Sharks. NU got wiped the floor with map 1, but after adapting to the Brazilian's gameplay, they came back for a comfortably win on the next 2 maps again.

How do u guys choose the team logo next to your name?

I wouldn't say they are underrated since Sharks did get pretty comfortably dismantled by a 'minor' region in their very first match. They are a talented team with a talented roster, but they play for default almost every round without much variation, and after seeing their play style in map 1, Nuturn made pretty quick work of them in the next 2 maps and they never really stood any chance.

Nuturn adapted so fast to Sharks' tactics on map 1 they totally destroyed the brazilians on maps 2 and 3.

Every time C9 and Sentinels have faced each other, the score has become closer and closer in favor of C9. This time, C9 got more round wins than Sentinels did.

they're making idiotic jokes about needing to drop him simply because of the name he chose

posted about 3 years ago

lol looks like you were dead wrong

posted about 3 years ago

we couldn't even comprehend the fact that such a bad and somewhat insulting joke could exist in the first place

posted about 3 years ago

the joke was pretty horrible and not even funny so the majority of us didn't even bother considering it being for humorous purposes

posted about 3 years ago

since xeta is by far the most consistent and best performer on this squad having put up some ridiculous numbers in the last challengers event as sova
