Why are they constantly bad? C9W got destroyed, other teams didn't even make it to RO32, EMEA female teams are probably even worse, and let's not talk about other regions
why is that a braindead take? Is the fact that I have a 40-50% hs rate on almost all guns and the fact that they keep whiffing their shots in game braindead?
Im not stupid ik when I see bad aimers and half of C9W are that. They really look like a team that dont practice it honestly looks like theyre just 5 stacking in the open quals. If they had actual aim then the fact that they have no strats wouldnt matter since they would be able to win the gun duels, but i implore you to go ahead and check their hs rates in game and come back here and say braindead take.
If you cant beat them in a gun duel then im worried for your rank honestly
no yea lowkey its kinda meme but legit tho they keep whiffing their shots and its so fucking painful to watch them. This is pro play, theyre supposed to be the best female team and theyre struggling against tier 2. Its honestly sad to watch. Its so bad to the point where people didnt even know that the VCT has always been mixed and that C9W has literally been entering VCT since day 1.
Having scrimmed them myself, I can confirm that their aim is very good and definitely not the issue. They are radiants, and their aim reflects accordingly.
The problem that they have is adapting to the meta. For example, when my team scrimmed them (I think about a month ago, when the patch that nerfed astra had been out for about a week and a half) they were still playing an astra and viper on way too many maps. For reference, I had switched my team to Acend's comp on split, bind, for example (look it up). They have kinda adjusted, but they still run comps that are highly questionable in my eyes and that is really the core issue with the team. This can probably be fixed with a little practice tho idk. Their aim however, definitely is good
The fact that you immediately insulted their aim tho is kinda strange, as it seems like you are just trying to demean them cuz they are girls. Unless you are radiant in ur region (send a ss), then I highly doubt u can outaim them. The guy originally was being kind of strange making this a competition, but you definitely don't have to engage, and if u do, at least make your argument correct. Bragging doesn't fix any kind of problems
Im not saying that aim is the problem here but what im saying is their aim isnt even consistent enough to win gun fights let alone win a series off of a team that actually scrims and practices with keeping productivity in mind.
If its meta theyre struggling with that means they shouldve been fine in the previous season of the vct but they still werent winning anything in fact they were doing worse than they are now.
If they practice and genuinely plan out comps and have intention behind the plays they make and they play like this, then honestly female esports doesnt look to be going anywhere anytime soon especially in valorant.
But you know, they played 2 games against tier 2 teams, and they went 26-8 and 26-7, so it doesn't really look like they're improvig that much, we can't even judge them from 1 better placement, if they do "good" in another qualifier, then yeah we can they improved, but until then, there's not much proof they're getting better
no im p sure in the KRU case its quite telling that they became a dumpster fire. Lost all semblance of their strategic depth and counterplay, NagZ wasnt doing shit, Keznit also wasnt doing anything impactful, they didnt know what being patient meant. KRU after losing their coach has now become one of the worst teams undoubtedly. They honestly are at the level of NIP rn and it shows, no in fact id say theyre worse than NIP cause at least NIP were fragging and knew how to play together as a team
I mean getting 13-2ed on your map pick id say is quite telling. When it comes to opponents in the tier 2 scene it just shouldnt be this dominant at all even if youre having a bad day. The level of play of Girl Kissers isnt that much greater than ranked so C9W if thye actually had some protocols should be able to take at least a few more rounds
I mean to be honest it doesnt even look like they practice though. Girl Kissers actually have a few set plays and some (be it very little) protocols for specific scenarios. They have decent aimers and they look like they have quite good comms.
In comparison C9W dont look like they even practice the game or scrim. I havent seen them pulling off any really coordinated executes, util usage is CONSTANTLY poor from almost all their members, no semblance of util combos to be seen anywhere, and when Mel isnt popping off on the chamber and Kat is having a not so great day the whole team just crumbles and no one is able to step it up. I dont know how much they prac but it definitely looks like they dont do a lot of it thats for sure
I dont think its sexism tho. Theres no way sexism has stopped any semblance of competitiveness from females in ALL esports. There wouldve had to have been at least one team in one esports that were actually good and competitive but there really arent to my knowledge. Ik sexism would decrease the likelihood but it cant be the sole reason to completely eliminate the possiblity
yea i know that but that doesnt change the fact that there are still a lot of female players that are in high ranks in valorant and compete in the vct yet somehow NONE are able to even make a decent showing. Theyre already passed the point of toxicity theyve already made a name and career for themselves in this esport and they still arent doing anything much.
Not even just valorant but other esports, you wont find a single good female team and i feel like its impossible that its just down to circumstance and poor sample size
I guess when you look at it that way yea, theyve already made a name for themselves and in fact that makes it easier to hate on them and dissuade them from pro play. Its honestly disgusting how immature and misogynistic the valorant and just gaming community is in general, it makes you question parenting skills in this day and age
They aren't good that's it, but female teams aren't as well and they look like they aren't improving at all, why do you have to defend them at all costs lmfao, there's no malicious intent with this thread, just discussing on why they don't seem to improve, but you simps have to treat this like the pinnacle of sexism and therefore you go all out to defend them from nothing lol
its really really straightforward. lots of people believe women should have more representation in Valorant. other people believe they are not good enough to compete with the top male teams. therefore whenever THE BEST female team competes in a tournament and loses to mediocre male teams, the people who argue that females are not good enough to compete will come out of the woodworks and post about it because it proves their point.
because with male teams there are ones that actually make it. However no matter how big the sample size for female teams are in all of esports they somehow have still achieved nothing notable and there just seems to be this invisible barrier between them and male esports that literally no one can explain cause in theory they should not be worse than males at moving their mouse and clicking their keyboard
the scene will keep growing with more and more woman joining the pro scene watching these gc tourneys and get inspired to pursue this as a full time job
and with time the quality of players will also increase and get to t1/t2 scene
exciting players like florescent are examples for this and that number will grow
it honestly seems that way. It doesnt look like they even practice. And im not referring to scrims and set plays or util combos, im saying it doesnt even look like they practice their aim. If this is the level of Radiants/Immorts in NA I can without a doubt say that NA ranked is definitely really low tier in terms of the skill of play and if the players on C9W were picked up based on ranked, they fucked
Honestly ive been asking this question for so long cause it makes no sense to me why gender would play a part in skill when it comes to an esport. First of all I think it probably has at least a little to do with the average male reaction time being than the avg female. Another thing i think honestly is they just dont practice enough. They really dont look like a cohesive unit when theyre playing. A lot of them whiff shots and other than Katsumi they all just have really poor util usage (I guess mel doesnt but i mean shes on chamber).
I dont know how much they practice but i assume its either wasted or that they dont do a lot of it. Maybe scrims as well, maybe the male teams just dont want to scrim them.
With all of that into account its still weird how there hasnt been a single successful female team in any esport so i would honestly say its just down to something in the male body that is simply better at doing whatever we have to do in games than females. Prop smth in the brain we havent yet been able to explore
Maybe it's due to a lack of pressure.
T2 and even T1 players constantly have to practice since their spots are in constant jeopardy otherwise.
Being at the top of game-changers means the C9W squad doesn't really have any pressure to perform better than they already do, since they're not going to get replaced as a result of poor VCT results.
The limited talent pool also hurts. They can''t choose from the myriad of upcoming T3 and ranked players because they're male and would then disqualify C9W from competing in VCT in the first place.
Perhaps allowing mixed VCT competing rosters to also compete in GC will increase the rate of improvement for all female teams. IDK, though. GC in the first place is more a temporary method to bolster the talent pool, so thinking about it in the long term is counterintuitive.
C9W beated a very respectable mix in clanless(including pho, critical and huynh, all very respesctable players) and lost to Gen.G(a top tier 2 team) and Girl Kissers(a stack of renegades players, who were a solid tier 2 team) there is no shame for a female team, that gets lower quality scrims and has less expectations to perform like this, they actually looked really good against Clanless, their objective isnt winning champions obviously, but the fact they are starting to match good stacks like clanless is already a huge win for female esports, a category which is heavily stigmatized and has a very hard time growing, they are improving and we should be happy that theres a female scene at all unlike many other esports
Overall, the amount of women who play video games is significantly lower than men. There's a lot of sexism in the community which can be discouraging to many. Right now more and more women are starting to play, but back then it was a very small number so statistically it makes sense that the pro scene is all men. There's not a genetic difference or anything. One day there will be a woman who plays t1, whether it's in 2 years or a decade, who knows, but riot is doing great things with GC and there is more exposure to women in gaming now which will help the scene long term.
the amount of simping here is another level. Always using sexism, and saying that they are bad because there isnt many women playing in the scene which is obviously untrue, im 90% sure that basically all women that plays high level in valorant (diamond-radiant) are pro players or atleast played pro before, always when i play ranked i get these girls and they are famous pro players, this bullshit IS not real. Csgo literally exists since 2012 and i NEVER heard of a woman playing in a t1/t2 team, or a women team beating a male t1/t2 team. And literally c9w just won against CLANLESS because mel existed in that match so pls dont use this shit as "proof" to say that they are improving or something lmfao
Who is even talking about wardell here? Even that, he got mvp against complexity, which was one of the reasons version1 destroyed complexity in the other maps. But yeah, If we are talking about only playing and not being a top fragger, i can see her playing controllers in a male team, from what i saw shes a good site anchor for the team
The reason they're playing in these tournaments instead of sticking to the women-only tournament scene is because they want to improve. They know that they're currently behind, but the best way to get better is by playing against people better than you and learning.
Additionally, C9W will never get past T2 because they limit their talent pool. Even reaching T2 will be hard for them. "Men's teams" are co-ed. If you're the best, they want you. Women only teams are like academy teams, built to push women into getting better and eventually creating less of a disparity in skill between men and women in competition. Obviously it's a double-edged sword since they don't compete with the top teams. If 470 of the top 500 players in NA are male due to the disparity, then a pool of 30 will limit them. A woman only team will simply never reach T1 and it'll be hard to reach T2 unless 15-20% of the top 500 players are women.
I'm going to say some truth here and why female teams fails to wins against male t1 teams.
First: it is not about talent or aim diff or anything like that
Main reason is that they need to study teams that they gonna play against (other females team) so they ended up living in their ''bubble'' playing to win, anti strat, only OTHER FEMALE TEAMS.
I'm saying many good female teams gonna lose their time to anti strat, studying, their enemies to win against them but that doesn't make them better to be able to compete against T1 male teams because they play completely different.
This is something I start to understand when I saw Team Liquid (Female TEAM) always losing to 5 random ranked players, they even lose to caster's team but when you watch their games against other females team (also radiant players with good aim) they play completely different and destroy them.
Males during T2-T3 scene they need to build many fundamentals of this game, also need to learn how to deal with unexpected things because T2-T3 scene is CRAZY while Female scene doesn't learn these things at begin.
I'd say female teams are used to study to win + anti stat others teams (good coach from good org kinda help too) instead to learn how to deal with unexpected things that happen during T2-T3 male scene, T1 female are used to play the game ''correctly'' but fail to play against ranked demons how play like ''PRX'' as example.
What you have just said makes absolutely no sense. You think young teens care more about the health of esports in regards to its inclusiveness of minority genders than more mature individuals? On what planet?
Please do not attempt to speak for all 25+ year olds by sporting such complete bs, you're actually a disgrace to us.
And theres people wanting female players or a mixed team in tier 1 team. Even decent players with trash personalities like meL can't survive in a t2 team so forget teir 1 team. People can keep dreaming
The only way these people can win a tourney is by competing in a female only tournament. Orgs like c9 are just wasting money at this point.
To everyone saying they have shit aim.
Mel is near the top 10 in stats for the current qualifier and this clip is against a team of top T2/1.5 players.
