guys, this game was close, but why is this a determinant for saying that NA is equal to EU.
Sentinels > fnatic rn, and this is the only way to measure the regions' level.
Team Liquid was a fluke, Version1 had a stand-in.
After this I'm not sure I buy the EU depth argument anymore. I would argue teams like C9 may be even better mechanically than SEN and outside of SEN, the best trio on a team is Asuna, Ethan, Nitro on 100T.
Good to see FNC keep all of the maps close but SEN went 5-0 despite all of the strats and utility FNC threw at them.
They don't really dictate who wins or loses, but they get higher/lower the more you win and lose. Having a big gap just shows that Sen is on another level compared to other NA teams. Was the same for Vision Strikers in KR, that were up by over 250 points compared to 2nd ranked team, until they lost to F4Q, then Nuturn, which tightened the gap
It was very close but so very not close as well. Haven should have at least gone to overtime though. But that's the sport I guess. Props to sentinels. They really have some sort of edge that cuts them apart from the rest. Like it's crazy how this was a 5-0, yet every map was nail-bitingly close. Or maybe Fnatic just choked every round that counted. GGs anyhow.
What? Literally the top 15 teams in NA are all stacked. Sure, they aren’t on sentinels level but that’s because NO ONE is. EU or Na... but 100T, Envy, C9, Faze, and V1 (without the sub) are all at or above the level of Fnatic. I don’t even think V1 is the second best team in NA... they had a good masters qualifiers run but 100T, C9, and Envy are better overall in my opinion.
And then you have the tier 1B teams like XSET, Gen.G, TSM, LG, Immortals, NRG, T1, ANdBOX, and BBG who could all compete with the majority of EU teams. The depth in NA is as good if not deeper than EU. I take it you don’t watch much NA Valorant because 100T has been very competitive with Sentinels. They are the second best team in NA and possibly the second best team in the world. I see 100T beating Fnatic relatively easily.
You're smoking something if you think this. Derke is better than nukkye and honestly I would rate players like Wardell more than him after seeing him go up twice against SEN. Asuna is the #1 ranked NA player and he's often been a problem for SEN and other NA teams to handle, not to mention how good Ethan is also.
EU fans have seriously underestimated NA this entire time and continue to do so. I personally believe that the margin between EU and NA is quite small. You have a team above every team in either region in SEN, and then a blob of teams from both regions that land in the same tier (in a top 9 I would put 5 NA teams [SEN, C9, 100T, V1, NV] and 4 EMEA teams [FNC, FPX, Gambit, G2 with rumored new roster or Acend with current roster] in no particular order apart from SEN #1). I think any of the EMEA teams can beat the NA teams on a given day and vice-versa. So we can't say one region is far and above the other and can't say the new G2 will dominate anything at this time.
