It's an addiction to synthetic sugar/artificial flavoring and caffeine.
Most people who drink Mountain Dew feel like shit without it
Whenever I get Mountain Dew I make sure to get the real cane sugar as it's slightly better for you than the synthetic sugar or aspartame.
I'm sure in a lot of countries Mountain Dew is more regulated and I know in some it's banned.

I went to a small rural school so people were way more judgemental, but the school over i used to hear about a kid who would show up with a tail.
