Honestly comes down to who plays the best, not who you „need“ in partnership.
I kinda disagree, the most important in Val is everyone being represented, KR should have only 2 team in first place, but Riot had to pick GEN, T1 and DRX because they are too big to not being taken (Wish is normal, life would have been different if VS had been pick by T1 or GEN, we would probably have an OCE team if this happen), 5 KR team will surely make the league way less exciting.
But truth be said, I still believe the APAC split is unavoidable on long term, if KR, SEA, MENA and India continue to grow, KR+JP+OCE and SEA+India+ME should be a thing, remember that Amer was 35% in mid 2023 and is now 20% (Without China), since PRX win, both "Asia" and "Pacific" have more premier team than Amer
idk why people are so mad like if slt makes it to grands doesn't it mean they literally deserve to be in tier 1 by being better than every other team in apac
No one's arguing that the winners won't deserve tier 1, it's just that they're not supporting korean teams cus there will be 5/12 korean teams in pac if both ns and slt win

we don't WANT 5 korean teams, we would like to root for other teams to keep the representation more diverse. But no one would argue that the teams that do ascend don't deserve it or are not needed.
I think people want the region to be more diverse. i mean you are one of those who really love any korean team if it's decent in vct. So you don't mind Korea domination. Nothing wrong with that. It's just that the monopoly can make the region boring to watch.
Tbh don't think any of these t2 teams are actually good enough to challenge top 5 apac teams except for prime ns. So they gonna be mid level team anyway.

Well obviously they suck cause it was never going to work with how their PC esports culture has been. They have no structure or good talent base for coaches and igls. And even PC gaming culture started growing in like last 5 years let alone PC gaming esports.
they need to import coaches cuz they have no time to grow their scene. their players i think are talented its just a mindset/infra diff.
sea has the right idea by importing coaches honestly because asia has very little tac fps history u need to learn from the best. korea has it lucky because they have the wemadefox guys and hsk was part of korean cs, same goes for prx. but in general asia needs to import to catch up. their talent is there they just need guidance.
