NRG Esports NRG Esports North America Rank #3 FiNESSE Pujan Mehta s0m Sam Oh Verno Andrew Maust mada Adam Pampuch Ethan Ethan Arnold have added Sam " s0m " Oh to their Valorant roster as the team's second player. The move was first reported by Ryan Friend of Rush B Media a week ago prior to NRG's official Valorant entrance announcement.
s0m played alongside Damian "daps" Steele, NRG's first Valorant player, on Gen.G Esports in CS:GO this year. s0m filled the role of entry fragger for the team.
At just 18-years-old, he stands in contrast to the more experienced daps. While daps is 27 and has competed professionally for much of the past decade, s0m is a newer face who only began competition in the past few years.
Unlike daps and the team's coach Chet "Chet" Singh, this will be s0m's first time with the NRG organization. He has not competed on a Valorant roster previously.
About 15 minutes into an interview posted to NRG's YouTube channel, Chet and daps indicated that they are looking to finish building the roster before Riot's First Strike tournament later this month. "We have to learn the game and get our roster in two weeks," daps said.
With s0m's addition, they need three more players to build a full roster. They said they were looking at players competing in tier 2 tournaments as well as players that may be transitioning from Counter-Strike or Overwatch.
