tbh i rather dont chat than to read those shit head comments I see in the Yt Val livestream, i get dumber every message and so I rather dont type at all also if u word it nicely it gets not banned at all, for example saying "that guy is shit" write some like "idk if he earns his T1 spot because his plays are questionable"
Well depends what you like. IMO jokes and slight "negativity"(not personal) here and there is part of spectator (e)sports. Almost none of that exists in Sliggy's chat because you will just get banned/timeout for almost anything like that. That's why it feels like echo chamber at times. Getting banned for typing "S[OMEGALUL] BAD" something that's been part of esport and Twitch meme culture since forever is just insane in my opinion. Or how in LoL people could call player named BrokenBlade "BrokenBrain" for making dumb play. Its not serious.
Obviously I respect his rules and that's why I don't chat often.
Yeah I hate official chats most of the time, especially in Valorant. And that's my issue and something I have talked about before that there really isn't as perfect co-streamers in Valorant. Every major one has some flaws. And how there isn't single one comparable to likes of Caedrel and ohnePixel for example. I mainly watch Sliggy or Sideshow(if he is online), but in my opinion the stricter chat is making it less enjoyable for me even if I get why some might prefer it.
I'll be honest, the original post definitely feels a bit unfair to ban over. I have seen more warranted bans in Sliggy's chat since a lot of people can end up just making troll comments with no substance. At the end of the day, most of the comments in chat won't be read by the streamer so it's better to save that energy for someone who will listen to it or just not waste your energy at all.
