who u think making the cut in the re-evaluation?

amer: 100, c9, g2, krü, loud, mibr, nrg, sen

emea: fnc, fut, kc, koi, navi, th, tl, vit

pac: dfm, drx, gen, prx, rrq, t1, tln, zeta

idk how i would feel about 3 korean teams

2 japanese teams for sure not staying
They cutting one 100% unless both teams win atleast one regional or more favorably one international till the reset and it doesn't look likely
Probably GE stays because they are the only South Asian representatives and Riot won't ignore that region. If it's not GE, it's probably VLT.

there should be 1 japenese team
in pac
remove zeta add GE or any other from SA

i agree but,

idk how strict they going to be with the regional selection

when it comes to viewership and money, zeta is better than dfm,

but dfm is better in structure, content, and economically that 50% of pac teams

I'm confused

Wym zeta brings more money/viewership but dfm is better economically? More financial backing? They spend less on players?

#53

dfm is better in structure, content, and economically that 50% of pac teams

i'm saying is not worth to kick them, and maybe having 2 jp teams is better for the sustainability of the league

pinoy should be consider before SA

agree, ph tier 2 talents would be suhc a waste, sa tier 2 literally relies on imports from ph and shit. but honestly ge should make the cut. riot might make a different region for korea, probably gonna be like league

Even if PH is considered I think Naos or any other decent org should make it except TS surely

#4

It could be 6 teams. Or even a different model completely.

Emea i would say FNC, TH, TL, KOI, KC, GM8, FUT, VIT

i understand the bias,

but 3 french orgs seem a little too much no? i would add a cis team for gm8

France is by far the biggest country in Europe in terms of viewership/bundle sales

#18

i agree but gm8 doesn't have a better structure than navi

#22

They were top3 bundle sellers in Europe last year with FNC/KC

  • big French streamers (peak at 100k viewers on their channel for the opening match)

KC/M8 have big fanbases/viewership and Vita is the richest org in Europe so it makes sense to have 3 French orgs

They're a Russian org, but have been based in Serbia since the invasion in 2022.

they were the first org to condemn the war and moved their HQ to Belgrade along with their staff. Also allowed for their Ukrainian players in dota, yatoro and mira to be openly against the war and host charities for Ukraine. They are clear

Meh. Doing business with orgs still in Russia means taxes they pay will flood back into the government.

At least we still have Russian players.

#12

as much as i like spirit more,

i think that navi brings more international viewership to cis,

spirit is a team only for cis/russians, and that community isn't that big in valorant.

spirit>navi, but navi>spirit when it comes to bringing more viewership and money to the league

Surely you are joking about cis/regions players where one of the best talents come from They are in emea / pacific / CN

Yep, apparantly they are rethinking it once the first contracts end in 2027 I think?

#16

it's a possibility, it could be 8 partner and 4 ascension teams, or 6 partner and 6 ascension teams.

leo fahria said this is a (likely) change of structure after 2027

theres no way they get rid of EG. if they do that I feel like it would just be bad for Riot.

#17

Who would you cut then in their place? Almost every team bar C9 and maybe NRG is not replaceable

#58

It’s too early to tell but if Loud keeps falling lower and lower down the rankings Riot could get rid of them. They don’t really have much to bring viewers anymore what with most veteran players gone and Optic nonexistent.

#19
Hobbit
1
Frags
+

what makes you think that?

they bring no money (no bundle sales or merch), they bring no viewership (people only watch them bc of yay/potter), their structure sucks, and they spend the least amount of money out of all the na teams

#24
decidueye

I just can't see Riot cutting achamp'ss winning team. I know that EG has like 5 fans, but I just can't think of Riot getting rid of them at the first re-evaluation.

#26

they got rid of optic and acend

I dont know about acend but optic was because of LoL and how optic weren't the best there.

There are plenty of good reasons to, in particular their holding players in contract jail after their champs win roster was pretty dreadful, and they've been holding back on the scene a lot since that too.

Americas is going to be 4 NA and 4 SA. 100t, g2, krü, loud, mibr, nrg, sen, lev (or another SA org if they stick with NA rosters)

#28
Hobbit
0
Frags

makes sense,

idk how i feel about keeping lev tho

#29
foythvlr
0
Frags

they invest a lot on the game and have many fans and bundle sales i doubt very much they will be leaving (and prob will be back to latam rosters since the current one is a shitshow and their academy looks promising)

#30
Hobbit
0
Frags

fer (lev's ceo), said that they aim to win internationals. so i doubt they go for latam rosters.

best case right now for them is selling the lev academy talent to krü imo

#32

fer (lev's ceo), said that they aim to win internationals. so i doubt they go for latam rosters.

that doesn't make any sense lol this is NA fetish. lev best results were with either a full or majority of SA players and the NA players are pretty much dragging them down

in any case they could enter as a NA spot but i doubt it

#34
Hobbit
0
Frags

this approach would make sense if they actually got top notch na pros, but they get cheap/middle of the pack na pros instead.

doesn't seem like fer will listen to the fans who ask for a latam team. and they lose credibility after every player they drop, so idk what na pros would want to join (only free agents or tier 2)

#59

Unless Riot fixes Americas so it isn’t so NA centered around LA

#40

i think 5 NA and 3 SA is kinda unfair. SA is already under-represented. Personally, I would switch out C9 for lev (or another SA org if they stick with NA rosters).

#41

lev is na anyway

EG will stay over C9
Dunno about EMEA

isn't india like the weakest region in pacific when it comes to viewership?

I suspect 2027 will be a whole new referendum like the start of franchising was in 2023. Whether the grouping is 6-6 or 8-4, there’s likely going to be new orgs jumping into the scene hoping to secure a partnered slot and I wouldn’t be surprised if Riot tried to expand the market by considering unrepresented regions and giving them a slot: DACH, MENA, Aus, etc.

I do think some orgs are just staple locks though because they represent the most popular brands for their region.

AMER) G2 • SEN • LOUD • KRU
EMEA) VIT • FNC • TL • FUT
PAC) T1 • PRX • RRQ • ZETA

obv 2nd most popular AMER team in val, 1st being SEN. Honestly i think nrg might be a lock as well tbh

I think Pacific will be
T1, geng/drx
Zeta/dfm
Prx
Ge/vlt/s8ul
Tln
Ts
Boom/rrq
