Demon1 arrived at the very last minute. EG were scrimming with REFORMED the whole time and the whole tokyo game plan was around him because demon1 had visa issues. They assumed he wasn't going to show up. They changed roles and everything, and EG were still so damn good and able to make it to the finals.

all the maps were pretty close, even lotus which was 6-6 at the half. also consider the fact fnc at map ban advantage. if eg were full strength they might have been able to defeat them in upper final (also an extremely close series) and have map ban for the grand finals.

#9 also fnatic had slowed down in performance considerably at champs. they were getting 13-1'd by drx on fnatic's own map pick for example. in a way it's kinda a good thing loud beat them, because people will forever have this view that loud was their kryptonite, when in actuality they had dropped off considerably in form by that point.

this isn't my view, but a lot of people on vlr say this because they were the only ones to defeat them in 2 series at champions, and get extremely close at lock-in. so assuming that the tl loss was a fluke, people say that loud was fnc's weakness by how much they were able to exploit and outplay them and no one else was able to.

i think 2024 was just rough for fnatic with leo sickness and a meta who heavily relied on initiators. and then 2025 theyre still without leo and they lost one of their best players
