don't get me wrong - i love my vibe merchant. however i can't help but wonder if he is the weakest link sometimes. are there any viable alternatives that would work better for sen?

I feel like more than any team Sen was teamwork based last year, even this year. You barely saw people going for individual peaks or risky plays apart from tenz and zekken like 10-20% rounds. If they replace zellsis with a better fragger they will fall apart in their best aspect which is teamwork and midrounding. You can just see how Sen plays defense on every map, they never anchor sites with 1 or 2 people where as you might see from people like leaf, pancada/tuyz, benjyfishy go for hero plays when they are in a weak anchor site but sen always plays full set retake. Firepower upgrade removes the whole team identity which is the most important thing for Sen.
people saying reduxx can outright replace him is just wrong. first of all hes never played zellsis roles , also isnt even known midrounder on the team which zellsis is. People think firepower is everything when its really not. without zellsis on split they wouldve not done good on split defense . reduxx aint ever playing on sen over zellsis
Zellsis does his job well, Hearing the comms he's most definitely the second IGL especially on bind against 100T calling the fast flood after stalling the bomb plant, he keeps the vibes up and keeps everyone in check, Zellsis does have his bad moments just like everyone else, he's not a star fragger but he does everything he's supposed to, as well as this tejo that John is playing it allows Zellsis to have more freedom to call for rotates when on a lurk and allows John to easily IGL with the pack as before he was always disconnected on his cypher and KJ but since he can play with the pack the mid rounding is going to be a lot better, dare i say better than last season split, no one on the team is an issue, someone is going to have an off day eventually but with Kaplan's coaching he's going to keep their heads in the game and he's going to make sure they're always doing their best and comming.
