yea but they never lost their games because their duelist was bad, they lost their games because theyre too reliant on the frags, perfect valorant doesnt exist. Their play has holes and theyre the kind of holes that doesnt need to be actively exploited. If G2 want to be the best in the world they need to be on a level of consistency that weve never seen before (and this is after seeing last year where they were already arguably the most consistent team in VCT history)
The difference is pacing. This G2 looks incredible at reclearing and site executes because Jawgemo is that good of an entry player. He’s able to do the “miniboo” and still get his frags in their system. Plus you can see that Trent and Leaf both excel at playing at this tempo given how aggressive they are.
bro what? jawgemo is like the derke or miniboo or buzz of americas. bros an entry fragger and his main job is to create space for execs. hes like derke in the sense where while derke had massive popoff games it was mostly alfa or leo who led the score sheets with chroncile as the support. you cant compare the stats of aspas or oxy or any other duelist who plays less of an entry role to him because they will always look better
not really scared yet tbh. they look good but they haven't been properly tested yet (Lev seemed really weak on the game and while i didnt watch the C9 one i think the team is very bad). they also had some weird rounds and eco throws. Lev could have taken a map here if they were more coordinated as a team
that said theyre def top 1 in americas rn and leaf is the current mvp contender
