I have watched spider man: No way home ( at the time it was released) and tbh I didn't find it to be extremely good or brilliant, it was good but it wasn't brilliant, it didn't have a lot of action scenes and didn't have that kind of high intensity which would keep audiences on the edge of their seats , always wondering what will happen next , plus the idea spider man to Fix the villains , really didn't fit well with me, it had some good factors like finally we got to have this spider man cannon event and he's no longer a boy who can rely on grownups for help and the three spider man union was great, why was this movie super cherished by everyone and everyone rated it so high idk, will someone explain?

Edit- I think the directors wanted that bad heavily and so they made a movie based on purely nostalgia, plus they wanted that spider man character development and cannon event that's why they did it, cause if u look at it that way, the movie does a great job for setting the stage up for future spider man movie

it didn't have a lot of action scenes

If you primarily care about action, then you won't appreciate movies that go into character development

I do appreciate charcter development and its not like I am primarily concerned with action but I want some amount of action in a Marvel movie , my primary concern is I think it lacked high intensity

I think what you're calling "high intensity" is an absence of action.

Miles' gain of confidence and belief in himself by the end of the movie was awesome.

Nope I do have liked character development arcs movies and by intensity I mean like always wondering what's gonna happen next in the movie and never be able to predict what's gonna come, I have watched movies like coco, Godfather, good will hunting, forest grump, dead poets society, etc these movies are primarily character development movies that i have liked extremely

Well i mean what can i say, if you came into it looking for action then whats more to be said. You just expected something that wasnt there.
I think its a great movie in rounding out toms spiderman, it also is an extremely somber and well executed movie. It teaches him important lessons and is very bittersweet.
I personally look for those tones in a movie and i absolutely adored this movie even though the previous two specifically the sequel werent very engaging to me.

The soundtrack, the concept, the execution, the character choices, they were all amazing and it felt like an endgame type movie for spiderman

personally the cinematography and directing was great
especially the scene where it shows off his spidey senses towards the green goblin

and yes seeing the 3 spideys together was hype af ngl
the nostalgia just hits i guess especially for those of use who grew up with tobey maguire

Is this because of the appearance of the three spiderman together and the nostalgia it brings just like how people watched DBZ as kids and now they cherish it , but if they didn't watch DBZ when they were kids and watched it now , they wouldn't like it that much?

I agree with you bro the plot was one of the most dumbest things I've seen when i watched i dod not like it but it felt like i was the only one who did not like it. The entire movie plot was a nothing burger just peter doing dumb shit cause he wants to go to the same college as mj

Fan Service carried

yeah its one of the movies that are made to be watched in theaters for hype-almost no rewatachability. The plot is ass, riddeled with plot holes, and most of the characters feel VERY out of character (wong/strange)

However this isnt out of place in the MCU a majority of their movies are just like this (but with no fanservice) The best written ones are prob 8/8.5/10 at best (Gaurdians 1/3, Winter Soilder, Infinity War, Avengers).

Also the Scorsese qoute sums it up perfectly

"I don't see them. I tried, you know? But that's not cinema. Honestly, the closest I can think of them, as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks. It isn’t the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another human being."

watch Madvocates video on it

the movie has so many logical issues and the plot is very contrived
