You guys think everyone in VCT will still play Omen or transition to Astra after the Omen nerf?

Some will, if the smokes player is more comfortable on astra, while it does remove some really good one way, the blind and the tp are still really good
probably still omen there werent that many silly oneways that got patched out on haven
Agreed. For Omen, Haven will be kind of a safe stay for him. His TP and flash are also a bit more valuable than an astra suck and concuss. I can see Omen maybe going on Split and even Lotus.
upon further thinking i think omen is better on haven given his tp, very useful pretty much everywhere on the map
though astra does have her own advantages.
i actually think haven is a map where we might see some teams try astra and omen togheter
The paranoia is just too good on Haven. +The ult can be somewhat useful on it, which is pretty rare.
Also Astra smokes are not specifically useful on Haven contrary to Abyss or Pearl
Strangely enough id argue the one-way nerf mostly affected viability on brim maps (bind and fracture) so we might see some more brim again
While I agree tier 1 teams are stubborn I think the omen nerf was greatly exaggerated
Depends on the team/how they play if they can play around the limited smokes then astra but omen if they play faster executes and or prefer having infinite smokes to deny info
The paranoia is probably the best ability in the game with the deadlock gravnet being close second and haven is one of the best maps for paranoia at a lot of spots so I don't think it'll be a complete replacement but there'll be a lot more astra and omen variations
Probably like a 60-40 split with many keeping Omen but some switching to Astra
thanks, tbh i stopped watching like halfway thru abyss as it was like 3am for me but hey we're lookin pretty good, could easily be a LAN grand final again at some point this season
Haven'll be one of the least affected maps by the omen nerf I think
the only one way that pros frequently used (out of the ones that you can't do anymore) is the garage one
I think astra is better now though regardless because of 5 stars, so maybe for that reason her pick rate will go higher, but I don't see her replacing omen completely since a lot of players are comfortable on Omen
