2024 was the start of a new era for DRX; they bid farewell to longstanding members Zest and Rb and brought Foxy9 and Flashback up to the active roster, choosing to bank on upcoming talent. The team ultimately failed to qualify for both Masters Madrid and Masters Shanghai by just one placement, finishing top-four in Kickoff and fourth in the Stage 1 playoffs. These were the only times that DRX had missed an international event since 2021.
Stage 2 saw more changes for DRX as they parted ways with stax and brought back Flashback, who had been temporarily inactive and filled in for by BeYN throughout Stage 1. Revitalized, DRX went on to place second in the Stage 2 playoffs to qualify for Champions 2024, where they placed top-six on their home turf in Seoul.
Once again, DRX has chosen to invest in new talent. Athan is the third rookie to join the Korean squad for 2025 along with Song "HYUNMIN" Hyun-min (송현민) and No "free1ng" Ha-jun (노하준). Kim "MaKo" Myeong-gwan (김명관) is the only original member remaining on the roster following the departure of BuZz to T1.
Athan and the rest of DRX will next return for the Radiant Asia Invitational, which begins on Nov. 20.
