ive seen them play enough to know that this drx roster has crazy high firepower and termi is good enough a coach for the team to have decent fundamentals. Fpx troll a lot ive seen them play in split 2 cn and ive seen the sen match i have also seen yosemite's lows and i think that these weaknesses make drx come out as the better team by far.
tbf the setplays the drx was known for during its VS era was starting to get really outdated, 2022 champs DRX compared to previous masters runs were a lot more firepower reliant and it was the perfect time because everyone was firing very well (DRX vs FPX never forget) definitely could've had it back then
not even gonna lie, i want you to go back to that post and read what i wrote, I literally said it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought and it mostly wasn’t his fault, but you still can’t deny he plays different(in playstyle and quality) in bigger games. If you read instead of just looking at the numbers i put and making assumptions, you would have noticed that part
bringing only champs 2024 numbers wont do you any good, bring every other internationals drx played and you will see BuZz performs up to par on playoffs with his group stage performance, only person in OG DRX who actually disappeared during big games was actually Rb who actually fixed his inconsistencies late 2023 but termi still decided it was unsatisfactory and kicked a player who flexed 13 agents a season!
i literally posted his stats in every international b4 in a separate thread, I compared his group stage stats to his playoff stats. And except for one time. There was always a significant decrease in nearly every stat. And even then, I still mentioned that it wasn’t completely his fault. Yeah, you forgot to mention that rb had his worst ever tournament in champs 2024. And you can’t even blame his bad performance on him having to flex a lot of roles at champs bc he only played 2 agents. I understand you like those players, at the time, i also didn’t like the fact he dropped rb, but you can’t just use nostalgia to fuel lies you made up in ur head
Group stage DRX who always makes out of group of course players will have higher stats than when DRX loses 2 games during playoffs and drop out, of course Rb will have the worst stats in 2023 season when he has to either mainly play sentinel when BuZz is playing duelist or playing smokes/initiator when Foxy9 gets put on duelist, just because he played 2 agents in champs doesn't mean he only put practice and scrims into 2 agents? did you forget DRX finalized their 5 man roster very late going into champs? Also what blinded by nostalgia? The OG DRX who actually used to fight for top 3 in the world? or the current DRX who has fallen to such lows we celebrate top 3 in pacific?
For one, this should be obvious, usually stats are worse the the player plays worse, and when the players play worse, the team does worse. So obviously his stats are a reflection of team success; but team success is a reflection of player performances. Rb is a flex player. He was only the duelist for a large part of 2022 bc of the chamber meta(similar to how victor was the duelist in 2022 despite him being a flex) Flex players specialize in playing multiple roles. You can’t just blame his performance on having to flex multiple roles bc that’s literally what he’s supposed to don. THE OG DRX got top 3 ONE TIME. They were always 5th-6th. And guess what that one 3rd place was on the back of MaKo and whoever else wanted to turn on their monitor that day. And guess what, the player that has been consistently carrying DRX, is still on the team, don’t pretend like the other were even near his level. Ppl only recently started to hype BuZz up a lot when MaKo had to take a step back and igl. Otherwise MaKo is the only DRX player ever that is irreplaceable
Did we even watch the same tournament? Please genuinely go rematch every Champs 2022 DRX game and tell me MaKo is the only one carrying, when BuZz held map kill record for a year with his performance against FPX, they got 3rd place in LOCKIN going down to world champions LOUD, we haven't gotten close to these results and significance since their downfall lol
I dont know what you mean when you say I am blinded by nostalgia when old DRX used to push the best teams in the world like Optic and LOUD to their limits with close 2-3 games while all we saw this year was 2 exits in pacific and 1 mid run at champs beating teams like KRU and Trace, swept by SEN and lost against TH when everything was going in our favor in icebox, the only decent win against fnatic was when BuZz took over the whole game. you still don't understand our team's downfall started when foxy9 was swapped for zest
Plz, 2022 teams are not even close to the level of teams now. Look at all the top 2022 players and teams now. Pushing them does not mean shit, and. Don’t give me the bullshit that we pushed those teams based on player talent. DRX were notorious for their playstyle, that’s why they were good(+MaKo). Guess who created that style, Termi. It reaches a point where that playstyle isn’t enough to win and we have to bring in better players
you clearly do not understand anything before 2023, let me make it clear that the whole calculated aggression playstyle everyone talks about VS/DRX actually comes from the era of MVP PK in csgo, where multiple iterations of their roster slowly refined that playstyle, obviously they never got much international success, but they still pushed at that times top teams like liquid to very close scorelines, so don't you dare credit everything to termi when solo, HSK, glow put equal amount of work into it
