Gen.G Gen.G Korea Rank #1 Foxy9 Jung Jae-sung (정재성) t3xture Kim Na-ra (김나라) Munchkin Byeon Sang-beom (변상범) yoman Chae Young-moon (채영문) Karon Kim Won-tae (김원태) has announced that they've re-signed in-game leader Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom (변상범), keeping three core players of last season's team together.

"I'm back. Let's make 2025 the year of GENG," Munchkin said.

Munchkin, who was voted as the Pacific region's in-game leader of the year with 74.2% of votes, had his best season of Valorant since making his debut in 2020. He most frequently played Viper or KAY/O for the team in 2024. Munchkin was also named the Pacific Stage 2 Finals MVP.

He started his career with Cloud9 Korea Cloud9 Korea Inactive Bazzi Park Jun-ki (박준기) Munchkin Byeon Sang-beom (변상범) BuZz Yu Byung-chul (유병철) Hate Lee Ye-hun (이예훈) xeta Son Seon-ho (손선호) , but first reached the international stage with Japanese side Crazy Raccoon Crazy Raccoon Inactive in the 2021 season, when he reached Masters Reykjavik, Masters Berlin, and Champions 2021. Gen.G originally announced they would be parting ways with Munchkin, Meteor, and Lakia departing the team. All five the organization's players' contracts were due at the end of 2024, with t3xture and Karon announced to have signed new deals to stay with them early on in the offseason.
