mako was better during kickoff as well, as others have noted. the only time his fragging performance dipped in comparison to karon is when he was igling. you make it sound as if he was only superior in 2022, so if he goes back he'll still be worse than karon.
even when considering 2024, an argument can be made for mako post the regular season of stage 2. he was the most valuable player of DRX, a top 6 team, while karon performed poorly on a team that was grouped.
for sure, im not saying mako is bad or you're wrong to pick him, just that picking him because of consistency is a bit weird in a game this young
and its not like karon is NOT consistent, hes just not played 3 years like mako
karon and mako are around the same level rn, because mako is good, not because mako has been good for a really long time
karon has unreal aim and is a great clutcher, but MaKo is maybe the best decision maker in the entire game. he has picked up every controller agent and played it at a world-class level, as well as becoming a really serviceable caller within only a few months of taking it up. as insane as karon will be going forward, MaKo is perennially a top player in the world. i would try to include both before snubbing MaKo tbh, put Karon on senti or smth
pretty sure he has on icebox before, even so i would be extremely confident in him to play it at a high level. he was a massive innovator during the astra meta and has pioneered a lot of different viper setups on maps (one of the first to do cross map early smoke setups on defense breeze, new meta ults/walls, etc.)
meteor sure, which is why i said buzz/meteor. flashback good, but buzz's kj was disgusting at masters tokyo. meteor def has the strongest argument tho. as for francis ivy, neither are t1 proven? stax and zest are both insane and have proven themselves in t1 year after year. nothing zest could really do on bleed as well, it was doomed from the start

The org's been making some atrocious choices recently though, not giving any of their newer rosters any time at all to get better... but then again I think that dropping Rb and Zest were mistakes, since they didn't replace them in a way that made sense. If they had dropped one for a "proper" sentinel player (Though they were both great in the senti/viper role respectfully) or a "proper" dedicated igl it might have made sense.
Honestly, we are so blessed with depth, especially in the controller department. I think our current lineup would be t3xture, MaKo, Munchkin, Flashback, Lakia. However, I think this lineup will very well change after just Pacific Kickoff, when players like last years‘ Tier 2 players inevitably prove themselves in Tier 1.
