i was literally thinking it was going to be a NA stomp given how much our own community has been shitting on our t2 teams throughout the year and i think i was the only one who thought we were closer than what they expected, but it has been not only as i expected, its beyond my expectations. I was expecting both tsm and m80 to give us chances on 1 map then shitting on us the 2nd and it hasnt been like that at all, all their matches have been very close to a certaint extent, tsm is almost out and even tho m80 is flawless they could still lose if they dont play with all that they have and that makes me relief after watching tier 2 latam the entire year ngl watching 2 latam and 1 br team giving a hell of a fight to na seed 1 and galorys being close to every other team so far with sato and luk_xo popping off has been so entertaining and it will only benefit the entirety of vct americas (NA, SA) because i was starting to think the only possible way was starting academys and picking up leftovers from tier 1 to make competitive SA t2 teams but now we are developing talent that can fight top teams without t1 orgs´s help

i actually expected NA fans to think that way im not surprised, but i saw SA users on this site and on other social medias trash talking our teams saying shit like "bro lets pick demon1 jawgemo and potter we wont have good players on tier 2 its over they going to stomp us all matches" and shit like that so i dont really say this towards NA users being fair

our two teams in VCT have been recycling the same talent for the last 3 years, I assumed there was a reason they weren't picking up anyone new.
and when they invested in young talents like mta his performance didn't really sell me
in my head I thought they clearly were more willing to import brazillians than work with the talent they were seeing in LATAM
I didn't see oxygen on Ascension last year as well when they lost against The Guard (G2) the finals of the 2023 VCL that's what i mean.
Stop blaming the format, if your team was that good they wouldn't have missed it twice in a row. You sound like 100T fans when they didn't make it to Champs. Format might be fucked but if you lose the important matches you are not backing up the shit you talk.
I honestly knew it was gonna be more competitive going into this compared to last year, I was roughly familiar with teams like RETA and AK and I knew they were very capable of beating the very streaky TSM among other teams. Not really familiar with the brazil teams but both have looked solid and have some really stand out players. Its just good to see that the tier2 scenes aren't too far apart from eachother because that just means better things for the americas region as a whole in the long run.
it’s probs just cuz NA people tend not to watch anything but NA and imagined it was the same as last year. It’s far from it though i remembered seeing spikeZ’s clip on Bind and checked out Reta and AK’s bo5 and knew this would be close (ntm the hype Sato has on him). People just tunnel vision on their regions which is normal. Def isn’t free for NA though (although M80 probably will end up going 5-0)
