shit tournament, next season im not watching tier 2 at all. tier 2 system is so bad, even if gonext won today they wouldnt have made it to playoffs. 10 teams left and its still not on lan

once apeks and tsm are done playing i vow to never watch tier 2 again

edit: it feels like it should be a controversy but this is how it always has been. brazil and latam t2 gets fucked with franchising, players have pc issues in elimination matches because for some reason top 10 in ascension doesnt qualify to play at lan.

you can lose 1 match in ascension and be eliminated. it always feels like riot are rushing everything and cutting costs at every corner in tier 2

mostly fair points, although brazil and latam are not screwed over. the region is called americas. latam also has a decent chance of qualifying this year since tsm are streaky and m80 are chokers

yes they are, theres a reason brazilians always complain about it. the tier 2 brazilian teams cant get high quality scrims in brazil because franchising is based in NA.

if a south american tier 2 team wins ascension it would be a highly impressive feat

I dont get your problem with the format
Its a perfectly normal group stage. You preform better than the others you qual.
GN didnt. They didnt just "lose a series", they also preformed worse in the other 2 games compared to their competition.
Ofc its extremely punishing to only have top 2 qual, but thats just a normal format.

And idek why we're not on lan. Would have been a bit weird with the schedule since theres only one stage, but im sure the admins can set up lan with the warmup pcs too.
Next year hopefully cause I wanna go in person (if its in berlin ofc, but riot save on money for ascension so it would be) ngl

ur right gonext didnt deserve it, but even today if they won 2-0 they wouldnt have it made it i think. the format is so harsh and short. going 3-1 can get you eliminated which is not right to me. a team should never be eliminated after one loss

could have done done top 3 and give best team a bye ig? worst you can get knocked out for then is 2-2 so would seem more fair

playoffs would have been a lot weirder with byes though, I do like it just being a proper fair playing field for all teams since the tourney is this important for everyone. One part is gonna be weird regardless

Next year is gonna be a lot harder with 7 (+1) teams. 2 groups of 4 is gonna have people get eliminated on some rough tiebreakers

That would probably result in a first playoff game without loser bracket, like it was for the VCT leagues, and ppl complained a lot about that
