Kirk did not get the respect he deserved while he was in minnesota. Hes looked good so far in Atlanta but the consistency is gonna be concerning given they are completely reworking his footwork from scratch after hes already coming off of an achilles. You can tell that hes not 100% comfortable and it leads to inconsistency drive by drive, but theyve got the talent to make it work

I dont know if "flor performed extremely similarly to a veteran tier 1 VCT player" is the criticism that you think it might be. While Zellsis might not be a star in tier 1, he is indisputably someone who belongs in tier 1 of VCT and is more of a role player that is very vocal within a team environment nowadays which will certainly affect his fragging capability. This to me is a glowing compliment of Flor as a player and shows that even 2 years ago she had a fragging ability on par with the best, and she has been doing nothing but improving since then

Japan pays very very well in tier 2 so players that are good enough to compete talk with japanese orgs to see if they can get paid well by an org that will actually support them

the comp is very good and designed to be good against the TM comp specifically, SEN just didnt understand the deadlock very well

posted 4 weeks ago

He kinda just plays everything. I think part of it is that he likes to kinda feel out what each character can do and some small details about what he might play against

posted 4 weeks ago

it would be concerning if Art was not IGL. He was igl when they were on jadeite and hes probably the best igl that japan has rn

is impact worth watching through some of his old games to see? The roster seems pretty strong but i dont know much about impact specifically

hyunmin is THAT DUDE hes gonna be a monster duelist for them next year. DRX is looking at possibly being the best theyve ever been before

posted 1 month ago

He doesnt have a lot of experience on it, but he can definitely play neon. This was something Sean said on stream a couple times when they were talking about the Fracture comp with Peter playing neon. He was good at it, but they couldnt exactly make the roles work with the rest of the team

posted 1 month ago

DRX fans that are worried need to watch vods of Hyunmin playing. They arent just replacing buzz with some random. This guy is the NEXT DUDE in korea

yeah seems like runi is out for a lot of their scrims. Its been Oxy, Xeppa, Moose, and for a while it was v1c and Rossy. I think Mitch is just gonna be stand in for this tournament

I want riddle for sure but SPG is looking GOOD right now and FS is cracked af. Hoping we make the lowers run and take it all

Lightningfast. Dude had a good year and i really think that this GE team could have made it work, but i really wanna see indian valorant have a strong presence and a little more respect in the scene and golu is the closest weve got so far

Because its pretty well known that Gambit was heavily weakened in the grand finals due to scheduling and things out of their control. That would not have been the case if they played in the first round of playoffs. Also not to mention that if the grand finals would have played out the exact same as a bo3 instead of a bo5 Gambit would have stomped Acend, and that was on a weak day for them

posted 2 months ago

Because they were handed a win after they already lost since Riot gave them an unprecedented ruling. If Acend would have lost to Vivo Keyd like they were supposed to they wouldve had to play Gambit in the first round of playoffs instead of Grand Finals and wouldve lost then instead

is Pacific Ascension playing the full bracket on LAN? Kinda insane if they get the whole Ascension tournament and EMEA doesnt get anything

posted 2 months ago

Started with 100T because of the org and grew to like the players. Damwon, DFM, Scarz, all for the orgs. PRX, GE (rip), MIBR (rip), for the players. Various other teams here and there usually because of players

APAC: Riddle, fullsense, Boom
Amer: NA teams and RETA
dont know EMEA well i know that APEKS is crazy

any person that still thinks of deadlock as a sentinel has already shown why they dont understand why deadlock is good. Deadlock is serving as an initiator in comps, thats why when teams have tried to deadlock and no cypher they are struggling so hard defensively. She is closer to breach than she is to cypher, and you have to understand that to get any use out of her

for gods sake just get Mike some help the dude is solo'ing being a coach and the struggle shows. They have 2 maps that should be perma bans, there is a massive lack of structured pre round calls, and there are serious issues of nerves affecting performances in game. These are literally all things that having an assistant coach would help

posted about a year ago

I have to imagine it has to do with the way they value C0m's comms, no pun intended

posted about a year ago

exactly like that. NRG wrote the playbook and 100T is putting it to work

posted about a year ago

he always ends up with higher death counts on the T side because he becomes the effective entry on that half. If you look at all the matches theyve played with this comp, hes generally been much better about living when they play CT

posted about a year ago

he played the role. Omen in that comp is meant to make the map closer to 50/50 than T sided. The omen helps retaking greatly, and therefore has to be a passive player that isnt fragging the whole game

people are forgetting about the SEN Sick phoenix man. I think it should really be

Jett - Derke/Aspas
Raze - Derke/Jingg
Reyna - Jingg
Yoru - f0rsaken
Phoenix - Sick
Neon - Rb (but vic was nasty with neon dont get me wrong)

PRX the worst is SO funny

They havent started playing Harbor yet

posted about a year ago

The "people who dont like breeze cant aim" narrative went from being a meme to somehow being a legitimate belief that many in the community hold which is incredibly concerning. Breeze was the most banned map in all of pro valorant towards the end before franchising. When it wasn't banned, it was BY FAR the most CT sided map in the entire game. The problem isnt that its such an aim reliant map, the players with the best aim on the planet hated it. Its actually got a decently similar problem to icebox. The Chokes to both B and A are tiny and allow Ops and viper/kayo mollies to completely control full site execs, yet the only ways to split the sites are through a mid that is extremely unintuitive and inconvenient for attackers. The map lends itself to needing splits to properly hit sites, but doesn't really allow for those kinds of plays unless pushing halls and hitting A, which became almost the only strat on breeze towards the end of its life. I think harbor could have made the map a lot more playable for everyone, but some reworks might not hurt it that much either

posted about a year ago

i absolutely think this will be a common strategy. I obviously dont share this sentiment with many but i believe harbor is quite good and pairs VERY well with duelists like neon and yoru, so with jett likely returning to become main OP i could see a world where you have jett neon playing with harbor (or jett yoru possibly on like pearl or bind)

posted about a year ago

VERY small chokes to enter sites and not much creativity in terms of exploring mid from teams leads it to be one of the most CT sided maps that we have in valorant currently. It was very heavily banned in Champions (64.7% of matches) and the teams that started defense on breeze won 55% of the time. We have been seeing this pattern a lot with maps where when a map starts to become heavily favored for CT, the ban rate of those maps start to skyrocket for teams. It has happened with Split, Ascent, and is now coming around to Breeze

posted about a year ago

have to imagine the testers really like the potential of icebox with the incoming harbor strats and chamber nerfs. Will allow for a lot more flexibility and some new ways to take space and play the map

NA

Valyn - IGL/smokes
Trent - Sova/Fade
Will - Duelist/main rifle
Dicey - Chamber/main OP
Ethan - Initiator/Flex

feel like the valyn trent core is too good to not have SOMEWHERE out there. Dicey is one of the best OPs in NA, Will had a wonderful showing on LAN at champs, and Ethan is another one of those guys that seems crazy not to have on a roster if he is available. I think if you want to switch around IGL style or just role playstyle, Zander could be a good look but he sounds like hes likely going to TSM. I also think that you could throw in someone like roza for ethan but initiators are the easiest role for people to flex to so theres just millions of options out there to pick from

im still decently new with anime so i havent seen a lot of the BIG series people recommend

  1. Jujutsu kaisen

  2. Bungou stray dogs (idk if this is seinen i dont really get what the genre is lmao)

  3. Bunny girl senpai

  4. Mirai Nikki

I mean we all as a collective kinda understand how hard it is to be the best team and STAY that way in this game. With the meta shifts and everything that come act by act, it makes the most sense for the team to take their win, walk away with a legacy, and cash whatever checks they can find now that they are the team everyone is looking at. If they stay together, they run the risk of falling out and bombing in the next tourney, and then every valorant fan calls them SEN/Gambit/Acend/FPX 2.0. Its almost a formula at this point

posted about 2 years ago

the saddest part is theres a chance dapr gets stuck as a 6th man and cant really compete in franchising. He was the 2nd best player on SEN throughout every iteration of that roster and just never got the credit he deserved for his gameplay. Hoping EG wakes up and realizes hes out there but otherwise itll be big Sadge for him

posted about 2 years ago

the problem is that i agree when it comes to will being a good player and team chemistry being very important, but if you pick up the phone and hear that theres an opportunity to bring in Yay to the team, and all you have to do is drop will, how do you possibly say no? I love will, i think he is massively over-hated by the fans, but this is Yay. Hes arguably the lone best player in the entire world. He is the only player that if they dropped will i would really not have an issue over

posted about 2 years ago

derke is the best player in the world and alfa had a 94% KAST map 1. Not really much you can do about that

DRX finally look like they arent going to let mental and a bad streak get to them. Hopefully they can crack a top 3 (as long as they dont have to beat 100T). I wish that 100T couldve won to make winners seed but these 2 teams will make playoffs certainly
