Is there any chance for sentinals to win against geng ?

In geng's favor, Map wise they are better than sen by a mile.

but in sen favor, geng has only lost to sentinals in international this year... Can sen be geng's kryptonite????

what are your thoughts?

I might've misunderstood, but aren't they tied 4-4 in maps?
GENG 2-1 SEN -> Upper Finals
GENG 2-3 SEN -> Grand Finals

No, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
Seriously, how come anybody is still confident in them after those two last games?

True, but you can argue that there deadlock comps were shit

but they aren't shit. a lot of teams have seen great success playing deadlock/cypher comps. SEN was just terrible at using them.
also think for a second, why would SEN switch to using deadlock/cypher comps if what they had was working? i'd say they almost certainly were having a hard time in scrims with the meta comps and decided to switch comps in response.

I think they thought it was the next step in the meta to replace the nerfed viper with deadlock, but they suck at it. They always said after the split 1 disaster that they wish they had time after madrid to innovate again like they did before the season started. So they tried innovating with the deadlock but it was a miss.

Sen only lost to 100T so they could 4th seed and avoid BLG in groups BLGWIN

Listen to yourself "After those two last games"

The value of a team is based on their season's performance, not their last two games. While they're definitely not in form, SEN have shown their potential. I think it'll be closer than you think.

I think GEN will take the initial matchup regardless but you're heavily underestimating SEN.

I don't think anyone is confident in SEN without bias lmao.
But considering SEN had time to fix the deadlock awful comps, most people think it's gonna be at least somewhat close in some maps. IF GENG aren't locked in, I can see SEN winning. Valorant is random as hell, one bad day can knock you out of champs, but I still give GENG 80-20 odds.

Bro im convinced the sen players just dont want it as much as they wanted it in madrid thats all. They just have a mental block now.

I see it too, but I'm full coping since they said madrid wasn't the goal for them, it was always champs.

nah after winning a trophy they are just full complacent. Even if they did practice a lot , without the competitive spirit they are not gonna be able to execute them. Like this is a theme w the sen team. They could be insane but they just dont want it after they win something. I swear rob gotta start paying them less and make them hungry again

It's nothing to do with complacency brother. Sometimes shit just doesn't work out. 99% of pros don't play for the money, if they wanted to, they'd make 10x more streaming. They play to win and to make a name for themselves. They've just regressed which is normal for teams. You can't stay at the top forever.

I am not saying money is the factor here, I am just saying the sen team always has some sort of mental block after high highs. It was the same for the last iteration of their roster. Like yea they are still competitors but there is a huge difference in their attitude towards madrid and rest of the split. It is very visible. Which will always seep into their gameplay.

might have a shot if lakias wrist gets injured again, meteor pinkie starts hurting, texture eats too much spicy buldak. karon gets sent back to ranked and t1 autumn replaces solo and hsk

What the valorant year taught us is anything is possible Just in the playoffs alone g2 beat lev only to lose to them in a b05, lev shitting on kru only to almost lose to them in a b05, heretics losing to vitality, drx finally beating prx. GenG at some point were 1-2 loss away from not making playoffs

meh the problem is that you could always rely on geng to get the job done and they’ll get it right

This might be slight cope, but I genuinely believe in John's calling and the team chemistry of Sen. If they back off the Deadlock comps and Perma ban Ascent over Icebox, I think they can win. The Deadlock comp is a good comp, but Sen have not played it well. Sen need to learn more into their old comps, or easily replaceable roles to change flow (i.e. Fade over Sova, Neon over Raze (this one changes the team movements entirely so it's not exactly "easily" but Zekken can pop one on Neon i'd bet), etc.). Besides, although current GenG are probably a mile or such ahead of where they were in Madrid, I believe that they still have more overall experience they can draw from to beat GenG.
