Fnatic and GenG hypothetical

GenG has obviously had an incredibly dominant year making it to every single Grand Finals. Winning an international tournament and 2/3 regional tournaments.
Fnatic won 2/3 international tournaments last year and had the most dominant run a team has ever had losing... 3? 4? matches in 2023.

So let's say that somehow this champions grand finals ends up being Fnatic v GenG.
Which team would you say is objectively the best team in the history of VCT if GenG wins or if Fnatic wins?
I'm mentioning Fnatic because their roster is basically the same as last year (except Hiro for Leo) and they were definitely the best team in VCT history until now.
But GenG making it to grand finals, especially IF they win makes it arguably not the case anymore. What do you think?

If GEN.G wins, they'd have the best year in Valorant history- 3 International Grand Finals in a row+they'd attend 6 Grand Finals in a row(counting Pacific)

If GEN.G wins Seoul, they'll become the best team ever in my opinion

but they won kick off+ masters

Gen.G would be winning Masters 2 + Champs. easily more of a feat

they'd be the first to win a masters and then champs back-to-back, but they wouldnt be the first to win back to back trophies is what i was saying

If you think about it. If you'd compare an fnc that won lock/in and masters with a hypothetical fnatic that won champs and masters you'd rate the latter higher tho right?

I'm sorry but 1 absolutely amazing year does not make up for this being the first ever year GenG play at international other than 1 game at lock in. It needs to last through time a little more imo before getting in those conversations

I've worded it wrong, and explained my thoughts in #15

Fnatic will be the best org all-time and the best legacy wise but GEN.G will have the best year ever, and they'll have the highest peak for a Valorant team ever too

Gen G , winning masters and champions consecutively in the same year and also reaching all grand finals in a single year as then they top Fnatic cause fnc never won champs

FNC for sure. These guys cooked with a new comp. Not ignoring Gen G's achievement but still i'm biased towards FNC cuz i like their new comp

Unless GenG win champs or go far whilst fnc bomb out it has to be fnc. Before this year GenG did absolutely nothing, whereas before 2023 fnc still were consistently making internationals and getting some decent runs, plus this year has been far better than geng were ever before this year. People can say GenG but I think it’s just recency bias with fnc having a far greater all time legacy

all-time and legacy wise it still would be Fnatic

GEN.G would have the best year+the highest peak imo

if we are talking about a single year. i would say that if GenG win champs they would be the best but if we are talking all time then FNC without a doubt

if fnatic wins, id choose fnatic because you just have to be an incredibly well oiled machine to win with some real mediocre fraggers in your team (Boaster specifically) against GenG whose IGL literally topfragged a map in the pacific finals today

GenG would have to be 2nd or 1st in champs to have better year than 2023 FNC

If either team wins, they both become the first to win both a Masters and a Champions. Fnatic would be at 3 trophies, GenG at 2
I'd have to say Fnatic, especially given that teams in this game find it very hard to hold onto success, being that dominant over such a long strench (granted the dip in performance in between) puts them ahead imo

the only reason their performance dipped was also due to Leo being ill, which no one seems to acknowledge

so leo already sick from rhe star of the year? because i dont really know his condition but from what i see fnc doesnt look as strong as last year since elmapuddy replace mini idk man they look beatable

If geng win it would be an amazing feat and have the best year in valorant history. But imo that would still not make up for this pretty much being their first ever year doing something at all. FNC made the first ever LAN, consistency has to count for something

Biggest fnc hater here
Although lock in isn't a real tournament geng just became a thing this year while fnc been a top contender since Masters 1
