Story preface: We have a floating desk assignment system, meaning you can book workspaces etc. (hold-over from covid era). Yesterday I sat in a desk I usually sat at, but noticed there was a guys stuff, must have been set up on a WFH day of mine. Some 30 something dude comes to the desk to grab a fan and I think nothing of it. Fast forward to today and the guy who set up the stuff is at the desk and the 30 something talks-semi shit abt the dude at other guy's desk yesterday. I overhear from where I'm sitting, so instead of ignoring it, I go over and apologize about the desk (kinda wanted to like spook them to stop talking behind people's backs, but not serious ofc lmao). He went back with an apology about it, saying its just a joke and I let them know I was okay with it, just wanted to apologize if I messed up his chair settings or something lol.
Then I go back to sit at my desk for today and I boot up VCT China on the second monitor. 30 something must have felt bad because he walked all the way over to me to try to become friends. Sees my screen and said "wow is that valorant?" Immediately close it and have him awkwardly try to talk about knowing some league of legends teams. He tells me to put back up the Valorant, he wanted to watch. Pulls a chair up beside me. Asks if 100T is playing. I tell him its Chinese. He walks away and brings back another student, tells me he is Chinese. We all sit through map 1. Ends. They leave after I shake their hands with a smile. I hate valorant, I hate VCT china, I hate my apology powerplay.
TLDR; Schizophrenia
