Its not necessarily Madrid but moreso kick off

The format to qualify for Masters Reykjavik was a split and it really gave time for new teams to gel together and build chemistry/synergy

For example, OpTic wouldn't have qualified for Masters Reykjavik if the qualifier had the same format as kick off

If we didn't have kick off and instead had a full split for who qualifies to madrid, then it wouldn't be mickey mouse

I don't think Madrid was mickey mouse. But Lock/IN was absolutely a mickey mouse tournament. There was no seeding, it was single elimination from start to end. It was a joke tournament and has no clout. Everything else is fine.

match vs sen was in march, Ethan and Demon1 were already decided by NRG once n4rrate went to KC on december 13,

IN TOTAL: 3 full months to practice or play off-season events, instead of grinding like sen you waited a few weeks to start scrims and played no events, no tears for the lazy

NRG also won two clutches but had 20 less kills on the map, even if zekken and don't drop 30 kills (the map was 14-16 it's not that impressive to have 30 kills) they would win in regulation usually

Look at the teams that qualified they did way better than the expected team to qualify because they were more hard working than the other teams. Like look at th nobody thought they would make it to an event and nobody thought they would beat fut but they did and managed to destroy Navi a team everyone expected to qualify. The best teams were playing from each region in madrid . Sen beat NRG and loud , lev to win kickoffs . To say not the best teams were in that event was wrong all the teams in Madrid deserved to go over the “ best teams”
