this is the region weโre supposed to be afraid of ๐๐๐
Lock in: very little prep, new team, can take advantage of old cores and newer teams who donโt have much chemistry
Champions: more developed talent, more teams, more stakes, more time to scrim and reach your peak. But where was EU with all this time and perks? Oh 4th place and Liquid (EU 1st place winner) bombed out.
Any reply?
Lock In: So you are saying Fnatic had great prep , great chemistry and other teams were not? But everyone started at same time right.
What about Masters then, is it not enough time for teams to improve starts, chemistry.
Champions: Liquid and Navi are already falling apart due to internal issues and coordination.
Fnatic burnt out, anti started by most of the teams as they is not much time to reinvent because it's hard to improve when you were not loosing.
Bro he doesn't think LOCK IN and masters are mickey mouse tournaments he's just saying stuff to trigger na haters and it's working. I agree with him that even tho EU won two titles last year, the champions title matters significantly more and EU had far from a dominant year. Also yes, LOCK IN was a tournament where few teams seemed well-prepped and in the form we would see from the them for the rest of the year (Fnatic was one of them), which absolutely makes Fnatic's dominance less impressive. The fact that they've been scrimming since beta (with a different roster...) and the rest of the teams hadn't been scrimming since beta and were thus less prepped is similar to the point I'm making.
Your whole cinderella story relied on a 100T choke against MIBR.
You can call FNCs win mickey mouse trophies, but you need to admit then that your Masters run atleast, if not your Champs run aswell, was based purely on luck and on another teams failure. A great storyline, but nothing else.
Btw, EU 1-1 NA on Champs, but 5-3 on major trophies still. Get that level, then i might accept your crazy take.
I probably misformulated my point , and at second thought, its very misleading.
EGs runs at the tournaments itself were not lucky at all, in fact, they were by far the better team in any of the games besides their games against FNC and PRX.
The point i wanted to make(which isnt really a point, its just a rant because someone thinks EU wins count less than NA wins at events)
was that EG got into playoffs for Masters/Champs because of the failure of another team and a freak game. If 100T won against MIBR, EG wouldnt attend Tokyo, they might have missed out on Champs aswell and everything would have turned out completely different.
It's not a flex. EMEA is mostly a T2 region. We have 2, maybe 3 teams that can solidly compete at the top international level. Fnc , Navi and vit (maybe).
Fut are mid, they've never exceeded 8th internationally. They've never beaten any good teams at International tournaments either. There's definitely a tier break. They're a solid T2 team.
You do realize they don't play Champions now?
