Glance and Carcass were present throughout their initial dominance of the EMEA Game Changers scene leading up to G2's crowning as the first-ever Game Changers world champions in 2022.

Heading into the 2023 season, G2 saw the departure of Julia "juliano" Kiran and eventually Maryam "Mary" Maher as Vivian "roxi" Schilling and sarah were onboarded in their place. The team still managed to take home two first-place finishes, but stumbled in Stage III, where EMEA's first seed at Brazil was up for grabs.

Unfortunately, G2's luck began to run out as they were defeated by North America's juggernaut and sent to meet Team Liquid in the lower final. This time around, however, their opponents flipped the script and eliminated G2 after two quick maps in convincing manner, accompanied by the roar of the home crowd.

With their season over, the organization began looking ahead at possible roster changes and allowed Carcass to explore his options before releasing Glance.
