FPS Veteran Nick "nitr0" Cannella has returned to Valorant and signed with M80 M80 North America Unranked Kyu Mirel Braco Hrustemovic Sato Eduardo Kenzo Nagahama Sato bao Okeanos Anthony Nguyen bdog Brandon Sanders ahead of the 2024 NA Challengers League. He is set to don the mantle of in-game leader as the squad hopes to hoist this year's Americas Ascension trophy.

Once part of the initial batch of pros competing in the early stages of the game, nitr0's career in 2020 kicked off as he and 100 Thieves 100 Thieves North America Unranked zander Alexander Dituri Cryocells Matthew Panganiban eeiu Daniel Vucenovic Boostio Kelden Pupello Asuna Peter Mazuryk claimed the First Strike: North America trophy. From there, he and 100T remained in the upper echelons of the North American competitive scene, even qualifying for 2021's Masters: Berlin and placing among the top four.

After coming up short in the 2021 NA LCQ, nitr0 returned to his roots and signed with Team Liquid Team Liquid Europe Unranked paTiTek Patryk Fabrowski kamyk Maks Rychlewski nAts Ayaz Akhmetshin Keiko Georgio Sanassy kamo Kamil Frąckowiak as a player for their CS:GO division. After nearly a year and a half of competing with Liquid, nitr0's return to Valorant seemed all but certain after a report by Purest hinted at his signing and return to the title.

M80 performed well in the 2023 NA Challengers League. The former roster won both the Mid-Season Invitational as well as playoffs, which qualified them to Americas Ascension alongside fellow North American representative The Guard The Guard Inactive JonahP Jonah Pulice trent Trent Cairns neT Michael Bernet valyn Jacob Batio tex Ian Botsch .

M80 maintained their composure throughout Ascension playoffs and performed a lower bracket run to meet The Guard in the grand final. Unfortunately, the team stumbled when it mattered most and were sent home empty handed as their opponents claimed the Ascension trophy in a 3-1 victory.

Following the departures of Mohamed "johnqt" Amine Ouarid and Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic, M80 were left with two vacancies. After picking up Brendan "BcJ" Jensen in November, the squad was all but set to welcome nitr0 as the missing piece of the puzzle.

Now complete, M80's new roster will make their explosive debut in the NA Challengers League. Only time will tell if the roster has retained its firepower as they duke it out against their North American rivals.
