For me it's between Elden Ring and Bloodborne
For me, my top games definitely include Witcher 3, Stardew Valley, The Elder Scrolls V, Minecraft, and of course, Valorant. Deciding between those choices is difficult though, and I don't think it's even possible as of the moment.
Actually, add Worldbox and Football Manager to that list as well but I doubt they are real contender.
Okay, so I've been trying to get into The Witcher 3 for the past month, but I have some major grievances with it. I absolutely despise the combat in this game. Roach feels like absolute shit to control. Doesn't help that the Next Gen version of this game keeps crashing randomly on my PS5 as well. The writing, exploration, and world-building are incredible though, so I just gotta push through my gripes.
Honestly, yeah the combat system can be somewhat wacky at times and it's level of enjoyability is diverse depending on the person. For example, I literally avoided signs unless necessary when I played. To be honest, I haven't touched it since I finished it around half a year ago, but overall it was highly enjoyable for me (I love games with stories). Hope you enjoy it as much as I did and have a wonderful day!
Little Big Planet 2
mainly for nostalgia, but it was genuinely really fun as kid and had unlimited amount of levels because you could create own and share them. You could do so much. Play all sort of different levels from story focused to trying to survive bombs. Make own levels and create all sort of stuff from machines to music with great tools. Socialize with other people and do all sort of stuff. Etc.
I just finished a new full playthrough of Bloodborne after 1 year away. I love it so much, but it deserves a remaster because the frame rate and frame pacing is fucking garbage. Upon completion, I was reminded that some of the base game bosses are kinda annoying. Amygdala, Micolash, Ebrietas, The One Reborn. Wish they leaned into hunter bosses more than what we got. That being said, Gascoigne, Martyr Logarius, Gehrman, Lady Maria, Ludwig, and Orphan of Kos are PEAK. The level design in this game is absolutely incredible, and no game has an atmosphere quite like it.
Bloodborne is more or less undefeated in terms of atmosphere, vibe, appearance (despite the 2015? graphics) and map design. I've probably around 10 ng+ by now lol but I can't get enough of just how well everything is connected and feels. The only issue is with the gun parry system, its a little too overwhelming against hunter type enemies (i.e anyone that can be staggered like kos, gehrman, mario etc) and useless against monster enemies (like ebrietas). I don't dislike the mainline bosses, I struggled more with paarl in my later playthroughs than with gehrman (2nd playthrough I beat him with no clothes just for jokes lol) but the overall balance is lost. In sekiro, the parrying system is the battle system, so having it be so overpowering is fine, as without it the game is impossible for certain bosses (iron knight, centipede dude etc) but in bb there should have been a better solution, like if you play ER or DS, parrying exists but it isn't so easy to trivialize half the game while also being stupidly good. I remember watching this guy parry the shit out of malenia back when I couldn't beat her and I tried to do it only to get shit on lol. Also I never felt the frames issue until a boss is slayed, maybe its just me being used to old games atp
Really liked Persona 5 Royal, but my laptop had to be formatted because of some bug so I couldn't complete the last palace. I don't wanna play again from the beginning again now so I'm just gonna wait a while lol.
Played a shittone of terraria (mostly modded) so I guess it's my most played game. Far Cry 3 was also great ( albeit overrated imo but then again I haven't tried the other far crys).
Currently playing slime rancher, fun as hell.
I somehow skipped all the hollow knight news/craze, and went into the game recently completely blind and I gotta say. It was so incredibly good. My one harp with the game is the lack of indication of progress.
My pathing was so crazy that I fought most of the bosses with a charm combination that made it trivial easy, and I beat the game all of the sudden when I didn't even know it was the final fight. But it was such an incredible journey.
Black Ops 3 (COD), Ultrakill, VALORANT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ULTRAKILL, EXTREMELY GOOD GAME. Valorant is fun (to me) and the strategic side to it is what I really like about it, and the extra layer of complexity that abilities bring. Bo3 was the last good CoD in a while :\ Bo2 is also good, but the jetpacks made Bo3 a better game for me. Its desire to be bold and add specialists amongst other complete bullshit made me fall in love with it.
