Ascent - Astra... Astra isnt really meta unless its double smokes ( Her smokes last the shortest in the game ) and she Requires ALOT of team cordnation shes somewhat viable on havent but Ascent omen just owns that map ( One ways, Blind and TP )
Breeze - Sage.... Just not meta AT ALL, and never will be. rather take her out and replace with a 2nd Initatior ( Either Sova or Kayo or if you just want to use a sentinel keep cypher sage just isnt meta for that, map is still too big )
AnnaFineChyyna - Idk if They are just lacking behind you guys but if so look for less opportunitys for them and maybe need to hold someones hand ( Not saying that in a disrespectful way but theyre obvisuly a weak point on your team that could possibly get exploited )

Astra on Haven/Asc
We scrimmed Asc with omen, played some games with it. Our smoker is an astra player like me and was much more reactive and consistent smoking on Astra so we called to play her on both maps. We haven’t leaked comps for Split/Lotus but they’re a bit different (we’ll prob play one of them tonight, idk if the games are going on vlr gg its a bit cooked)
Other than that it’s just synergy. All 5 of us only played together as a 5 for the first time on game day. We just have to stick as a 3-4 core and get more exp, our ranks dont represent our skill I’d say.

And ahh… maybe she just nervous or something possibly over thinking ? just talk to her more in game
even with the astra thing i could see it viable on haven but ascent even still the best astra in the world omen still just better, but hell maybe she’s just 100x more comfy on astra so go with it, but if you want more utl advantage from your smoke omen still the better choice for ascent
but other then that comps fine, maybe just calm your kj down, have her play off site some more or atleast stop FD, and play more off angles to get more frags or play offsite retake and she comes in last and gain the confidence up by baiting
my opinion
- dont worry about comps for now, at this skill range comfort picks > meta picks - obviously as you guys get better as a team with coordination and set plays move towards meta comps
- get your sentinel on aimlabs lol shouldnt have that many first deaths
- honestly speaking try and get in tourneys more in your skill range if possible; expecting to beat a team full of ascendants/immortals is unrealistic
this is coming from a peak diamond so dont take it with a grain of salt

What I can gain from this information:
ying needs to be a bit more aggressive, playing controller gives you a lot of room to make crazy plays by yourself. besides that doing fantastic
trash is fine honestly, I don't see anything of use here besides maybe working on taking a bit less opening duels. a great example is leo, having scans even super late in a 2v2 is useful
you need to work on taking LESS opening duels and focus WAY MORE on util. 36 assists as a flash initiator is pretty bad, especially with kay/o who is known to be an assist farmer. you should be using your util for them not you
reach needs to focus on just practicing first engagements, honestly their rating is misleading and they seem like a good selfless player, but definitely just keep practicing entrying
anna just seems behind the rest of the team mechanically, that's all I really gotta say. she just needs prac and hopefully she can catch up :) and try to NEVER die first on sentinel
someone commented on comps already so I thought I'd comment what I'm gleaning from just stats, really hard to tell what is truly happening with no vods or anything

i agree about myself I die way too often and my util could use some work.
ying is very lurky, means her stats are a bit deflated.
trash/jas is a good palyer yeah theres not rlly problems n stuff. i have a vod of sunset from aurora game if u want.
reach pretty good at duelist, she’s just had some unlucky contacts
anna just needs to work on mechs yeah
yeah I mean I've seen a dude get 26 assists in 1 map as KAY/O and you have 36 over 6. I think if you work in scrims on comming set plays and good popflashes then reach will benefit and the entire team will as a result (and you will too as a massive assist farmer)
ying's lurking is fine but I'm not seeing a lot of impact and the meta is impactful controllers, if she isn't going for plays with her util then she should start doing so. less lurk space might open if another sentinel joins, so she'd need to get used to being with the team more
trash is great, I see no issues and I can tell she is the highest ranked player.
I believe for sure kat is a good duelist, just needs to focus on winning more openings and you working on util should help with that
anna just needs to grind
from what I can see in stats try to setup your duelist more, this might be a bit of a guess but i think a lot of util is being wasted for solo plays and interactions(other players have a lot of first interactions compared to duelist), which arent necessarily bad but can lead to uncoordination
also ur probably against higher ranked players with better fundamentals which puts the odds against you
since its an open qualifier and teams aren't gonna exploit a ton of stuff, ill just keep it brief + try to say stuff that hasn't already been said:

the sunset comp can work, but if as a team you are able to run more proven stuff(double smokes, chamber, etc) it may give u an edge on that map that other teams don't have. the sunset u played vs aurora (and this is just me going off of what ik, cause there's no vod) was lost due to your comp not being able to counter the dive, specifically phoenix. more map control with a comp like viper-omen-fade-chamber-raze can really hurt the phoenix's space-creation.

other than that, make sure that you are playing to a comp's strengths, but not every round. feel free to sometimes push the strats a tiny bit outside the box (i.e. doing full fakes with harbor/viper on breeze). your individual performances don't matter as long as you have cohesive teamplay and synergy
-forgot to add that if u aren't super comfortable on kay/o, try fade if u are more comfortable on her. default is good, but comfort is most optimal

sunset comp was our creation based off meta knowledge, we dont have a team super specced into double smokes or a chamber playr.
we lost sunset to throwing rounds we shouldnt have, breach feels great on the map, fade feels like good recon.

One thing I see is that you're taking the same amount of first contacts as your duelist which is insane as a breach especially. The match you won, the duelist was taking the most first contacts, if it is a problem with confidence for the duelist you should work on that as a team. This is purely off stats tho, haven't watched any of the vods but if you're comfortable taking those first contacts and your duelist isn't you could also looking into a role switch
There's more than just 1 problem
- The player(s) are active on VLR
- The players didn't make a flair for VLR
- Get a coach and start brainstroming executes and defenses
- Players need to bond more together to trust on an in-game level
- Asking VLR for the problem knowing VLR is the problem
- Consider role changes or expand agent pools and work on timings if you wanna win
- Change team name to "Scallop United Esports" from scallop united esports
