I think Alive is a great pickup. With Magnum it depends on how good his calling is. There is plenty of firepower on this team its okay if he is a bit weaker. He has the expereience thats for sure. I could see it work

Im kinda hardcore alive fan so its hard for me to judge fairly but i really like this lineup.
I havent watched too many apeks games but to be able to go 19-1 in bo1s probably requires a very competent IGL so im very excited to see it.
Rest of the players are also bangers 2024 will be hype for me for sure
Alive was by far their highest rated player at ascension at 1.13 which is the 6th best of all ascension players. The next best was musashi at 1.00....
In playoffs Alive was the 3rd best!!!

I just think having a Raze like Trexx you need to sign a duelist who can flex really really well that way he doesn't block Trexx from playing Raze on Raze maps
If you have to play Raze only duelist I feel like they will have Alive on raze and Trexx on flex, and I don't fucking want that, they need someone who can play other roles on Raze maps, that's all
First of all you are moving goalposts. you claimed acends roster was insane which it was not. You claimed he was not their carry which he was. Those were the first things you mentioned against him.
Regarding Raze... It is a single damn agent. If the entire fate of your team depends on whether one player plays their A tier raze over a guy playing their S tier raze then this is ridiculous. Trexx can play it on double duelist anyway and in the coming Chamber meta Alive will open up the duelist spot a lot too.
So this mean this would only be a problem when 1. no double duelist 2. no Chamber 3. team picks raze on a map over the many other duelists
And even then the extent of the problem is Alive playing a champ he is good at (raze) and trexx playing a champ he is good at (Sova).
You cant seriously tell me that a marginal improvement in a niche scenario is such a big argument against signing a top T2 player?

I am not moving goalposts, you're cherry picking stats and talking only about Ascension, sure it matters, but that is like judging a VCT player just by their LCQ performance. Watching both splits of the East league you can see Alive was a good player but not the carry of the team by any means. And yes, Acend roster is all insane, matter of fact other than Brodie all of the other players are tier 1 material in my opinion and would be picked up if they didn't have such big buyouts.

"Just 1 agent", bro you gotta be kidding that's not how it works ofc it matters. Not allowing your best player to play his best role is a massive deal and yes, important enough to build your team around that. You have to build the team with a purpose.

It is definitely not marginal improvement, Trexx Raze is x10 better than Alives, and Alive's other agents are significantly worse than what other people you can sign will do. But if that's how you wanna put it then sure, that is exactly what I'm saying
