as we know that Jinggg will leave the scene next year for mandatory service. Seeing how PRX is my/sg representative, Does the replacement have to be from singapore or malaysia?
I mean if you ask according to Riot rules, no, replacement can be from any APAC country. But maybe the org does wanna keep a fair SG representation
That being said about the replacement, people are suggesting Raze players and I think it is the perfect moment not to sign a Raze player. They are forced to always play double duelist and sometimes it is just not the better option. Something plays Raze and they still have forsaken so I think they should go for someone on a different role
I don't think they are forced to play double duelist, they are playing double duelist because they can/want to? It's just how the way the team is structured around the players no? And it's funny you say double duelist isn't always the better option when their team is the one always breaking the meta. There isn't a "better" option for them, they just go with it, that's how prx is.
I'm quite late with the reply, but who forces them? Alecks? Forsaken? Their bosses? Nobody's forcing them to play double duelist, it's just how they roll. For something on breach, I don't think he knows how to play other duelists besides Jett and Reyna as well, and if you have a great Neon and Raze player already in your team, why fix what's broken?
I'm not sure if you realised but even Forsaken played Skye this champs in group stage (Iirc), and they went with Jinggg as the solo duelist. It's just how they want to play the maps
Let me explain it a different way, both Jingg and something are extremely good with Jett and Raze respectively, and both can play other agents like Reyna or Pheonix. That is where the prime of both of those players is, they do not shine off that role. Which means if you want to get the maximum out of those 2 players you are forced to run a double duelist comp.
As soon as you get something off the Jett and Jingg off the duelists they stop being a world class player and they become just good players. So what I’m saying is having this 2 duelist mains hurts them to a certain degree. It’s probably great for some maps because that just is PRX, but it does limit them on others
AGAIN I'M SUPER LATE, mainly because I was on some PRX loss recovery period and steered clear of VLR.
Thanks for this latest explanation, I see what you mean now.
Their latest addition is Monyet, who played duelist previously before playing controller for GE this year - and being damn good at it. So hopefully they can cook up more stuff with Monyet being a more flexible player.
Not sure if he will go to uni after military service (if it has been confirmed by him) because he's taking online courses while playing Valorant according to some older interviews, so I would assume he would continue taking online courses and playing after the 2 years. It'll definitely be sad to see him go though
