The boundary of Europe is blurry and genetics is not a particularly solid argument for where to draw the line, esp considering the many ethnic groups in Russia. These "many ethnic groups" have their own names(like tatar, bashkir, nenets, udmurt etc) , the genetic study I posted refers only to "russkije" aka ethnic Russians, Russian language has 2 words for "Russian": russkij and rossijanin, the latter meaning all ethnic groups in Russia and the former meaning only ethnic Russians.

yep. Russia - Gambit is in the Europe part. Middle east part is mainly TR teams and from Africa there isnt any team.
Actually TR teams are in İstanbul's europe side and nobody in Turkey likes that middle east word. Calling middle east to TR came up by bush at 2000's, it's not official or anything just political. Some people consider TR as middle east some doesn't. There isn't any middle east map or union, there is arabic union kinda staff if I'm not wrong and 13 country from middle east is part of that, as you can guess Turkey isn't.

I would say CIS is a subregion of EU like Scandinavia, Balkans. Russia is clearly European, Kazakhs get a choice though imo if they're CIS or Asia imo.
