The only one who’s definitely staying is Nats and Sayf for how much they perform this year.
Jamppi? Maybe
But redgar and botcas has been bottom of the barrel all season, surely they get the boot
Jamppi got a contract extension till 2026, honestly I think he deserves it because he has been solid. Also, if you watch the vlogs, jamppi has always been super energetic and communication/motivation oriented, so he is valuable for Liquid. Redgar is a maybe as there are not many proven IGLs. Soulcas.....
Jamppi is still a great flex player and had great stats in the season.
Liquid needs a coach that's less soft (According to people saying Emil has like no authority)
-Soulcas +YaBoiLewis
Redgar is a question mark for me because i dont know other EMEA IGL's, but the comp and the Liquid decision making in-game has been really bad, like today's split, having 2 duelist and losing rounds because of time is not it.
Maybe ENGH as head coach since a good IGL/Coach relationship could improve the team a lot
(According to people saying Emil has like no authority)
nah thats d00mbr0s. eMIL has plenty of authority if youve seen comms vids. But I do agree, a second coach is needed.
Maybe ENGH as head coach since a good IGL/Coach relationship could improve the team a lot
Thing is tho that Redgar and ENGHH do not have a good relationship with each other. According to Redgar, ENGHH created a toxic workplace environment with him on GMB.
agreed on the Jamppi point tho
There's no upgrade to soulcas other than cloud/leo/shao that can play skye at a high level. Maybe starxo.
Jamppi, he's renewed so it doesn't matter, his decision making is bad but he's got more firepower than sheydos
Redgar, not a lot of other IGLs in the field, bro needs to rebuild his stratbook. These strats are overcooked and meant for slow csjoe style defaults and when teams disrespect that you get shredded.
Right away, Emil needs to be swapped to assistant and either Engh or Sliggy needs to come back in the fray. Maybe both. Their team fighting is bad and clearly had no plan b for the harbor viper they don't face often.
He hasn't played skye since 2022 in a completely different meta. I think if you want to upgrade soulcas you need someone with a lot of firepower and a can play skye at a high level. I just don't see someone that level except maybe starxo, EMEA just doesn't play skye very often in T1 and T2 in general is a bit behind in the meta.
wym in a different meta ? If he's goated at skye then he's goated at skye no matter the meta, what does that even mean lmao
Also he is extremely uncomfortable in his current role, and if KOI had a choice he'd be back on the skye/kayo permanently (and if you watched some VRL pros like i do (french speaking ones), youd know i'm not the only one that thinks this). He had to learn KJ in the offseason because GM's have no clue how to make rosters and put both sheydos and trexx and starxo on the same team, eating at each other's roles.
Sheydos is goated skye. The only reason starxo is the one that plays it is because SOMEONE has to, and he's team oriented enough to sacrifice his comfort so that his teammates can play more comfortable things.
That's not how it works.
If Sheydos is more capable of playing kj than starxo is, and starxo's skye is good then it's better to put sheydos on it.
Than have starxo on an agent he's beyond uncomfortable on and NOT his playstyle at all and incapable of adapting like sheydos is.
It's not black and white.
I'm done with this convo though, these things are obvious (or should be) so this convo is pretty low level.
lol, why are you convinced he can play a better skye than soulcas if he hasn't even played since 2022? the game has significantly changed and almost all of EMEA doesn't play against harbor viper. sheydos doesn't change the firepower that much either. there's no reason to change the roster unless there's someone outstandingly better than soulcas; i understand your point but he's an outstandingly better skye he'd just be dedicated initiator. the ones i see that are outstandingly better than soulcas are cloud, leo, maybe shao. whatever, it's all fantasy anyway
nAts
Redgar
jampii
Sayf
+
option 1: sheydos (part of the gambit core, specializes in flashing initiators)
option 2: trexx (very good player, has history with sayf from guild, flexible)
Personally, I think sheydos is probably a slightly better choice since he has history with nAts and Redgar. His role and agent pool is also nearly a perfect 1 to 1 upgrade from soulcas. Trexx is still a great option though for sure.
Agreed.
Keep the core of Jamppi, Sayf and nAts no matter what.
Maybe even adopt a loose PRX style of IGLing? This could potentially work seeing as both Jamppi and Sayf have second caller/IGL experience, ntm this is what they did literally all of 2021 and 2022.
To replace soulcas and Redgar just pick up some cracked, flexible Tier 2 players as well as transferring eMIL to assistant coach and getting a new coach who can help with their mental.
I see people are thinking to replace Redgar, but the truth is, Redgars calling in the Haven game was actually pretty good. Liquid took the site and planted the bomb multiple times, they managed to hit the weak site most of the time, and Redgar knew where to put everyone. The problem was liquid as a team seems very indisciplined. We saw them lose a 2v4 on Haven attack where Aspas had an OP on retake. The only changes that team would require is a new coach and a proper info initiator instead of Soulcas.
who does team liquid pick up? ATP EU has the most upcoming cracked players in the world they would be dumb to continue on with soulcas, anyone who watched liquid all year or longer understands he cannot keep up with the team and its not fair for jamppi or anyone else on the team to constantly get hate because of one player who cant even take accountability. no rebuild needed imo only one change has to happen.
