How they picked her up? Like what's she known for? I didn't know it was a woman their coach that's cool and unusual at the same time.
Potter has a long history in CS. 1.6 and CSGO. Playing for CLG RED and RES GAMING before starting to become an on-air analyst or caster for CSGO. Before joining Evil Geniuses, she played in a F/A team called GX3 placing second in FTW Summer Showdown losing to MAJKL (Soon becoming Cloud9 White). On January 27 Evil Geniuses introduced their roster. Becoming one of the first rosters with a male and female roster. Unfortunately, unable to make it through VCT stage 1& 2. To prepare for Stage 3 of VCT Evil Geniuses swap 3 parting ways with clawdia, ALEKSANDAR and Osias leaving potter as the last female player on the team. The changes were confusing to people as potter constantly bottom fragged. Stage 3 of VCT proved hard, they had to defeat the titan of NA Sentinels but got 2-0ed and in stage 3 challengers 2 got 2-0ed by Complexity ending their hopes of qualifying for MASTERS BERLIN. On August 20, potter was moved to Head Coach Role ending her 8 month time of being a player for Evil Geniuses. Alongside that she has been a commentator/analyst for Reykjavik,NA LCQ, VALORANT Champions to name a few.
I would question the fact that EG stuck with its core of Jawgemo, C0M, Boostio when they had so many players to choose from for franchising. I dont think these guys have done enough to prove that they are worthy of playing in a franchised team especially when there are only 25 spots in NA with so many good players playing in ascension.
In that sense, your question on Potter is also valid, has she achieved enough in the scene to be part of 5 NA franchised coaches? Being part of the org since its inception might not be a good reason to stick with her.
